The name Ambrose means "Immortal", so it's actually a cool name when you think about it, but of course WWE will never mention that sadly.

Well currently WWE want us to forget the DEAN AMBROSE.

It's bothered me for a long time after seeing many of his past bouts and interviews he's cut in different organizations that they can't just let him go all out. Or hell for that matter let many of their talent do their own thing in the ring and help develop themselves like in wrestlings past. The dude is an absolute shell of his former self character-wise and I can bet many other guys out there feel the same since they can't just do what they know would work.

As a fellow Cincinnatian (where Mr. Ambrose also hails), the nickname "lunatic fringe" is a running nickname of a local Cincinnati hard rock station, WEBN, which plays a lot of AC-DC and such.

Dean Ambrose's "I'm just a sick guy" promo from CZW is the stuff of legend. Seriously, go watch it, it's brilliant.

I hate what they've done with his character but not him personally he has so much potential and I was just so excited for him to make his WWE debut when I saw his indie Joker like promo's.

He has so much talent and had a great start to his singles run post-shield... sadly the writing got so bad and his character was sorely abused like the others. I genuinely thought WWE was going to go down the "look at Mick Foley in Japan" route for Ambrose v Lesnar, especially after Foley and Funk were both passing the torch to him in their backstage segments. If they'd shown Ambrose's garbage-wrestling past (even with black-and-white pictures if need be) in the same way they highlighted Mick's death-match past in Japan for the run-in to Royal Rumble 2000, then (and this is the important part) followed up on in the match itself, the bout could have been epic in scale.

Dean mentioned CZW in his promo for match with Lesnar at CZW, NJPW is mentioned almost every time Styles, Gallows, Anderson or Nakamura are in the ring, ROH is sometimes name-dropped and there was an article about ROH alums (Punk, Bryan, Rollins, Cesaro etc) on WWE website, PWG was name-dropped recently by Cena, only TNA is treated like it doesn't exist (except for Low Ki in NXT or Cena in his feud with CM Punk in 2011).
