I can definitely attest to the controversy when Sweet Treats came out. A lot, and I mean A LOT, of people absolutely hated it. Not sure which they bashed more, Sweet Treats or Store content. Gonna say probably Sweet Treats. While many people viewed store content as a cash grab, most of us were just happy to be able get MOAR stuff. If you use the cascading effect of complete-a-set, you can actually get quite a bit of store content for pretty cheap. Happy New Year!!

I bought Sweet Treats brand new on ebay! It's definitely possible to find a copy! I loved the sims for years and I just wanted the complete collection.

Well, I didn't know there was a Katy Perry with exclusive hair on the exchange . For me Sweet Treats is just the expansion that makes random sims be half-dressed as girl scouts or with those candy bikinis. There's also nothing quite like having a formal party with some townies, and the moment they go formal some of the pack's hairstyles come up. I only have the pack to create themed shops, and because the pirate store I got it from just gave me all packs automatically..

I love Katy and I just downloaded this pack for free on an archive site. The CAS items are lovely🎉

I get all DLCs since Sims 1 and KPST is the first pack I deliberately skipped upon release. Even though 10 years have passed I don't hate it as much because of Batuu. Still the items are nauseating me till this day.🤣

Just bought the sims 3 showtime katy perry edition brand new on ebay with the code! The same for Sweet Treats bought from an key Reseller :) Definitely my favorite pack as a katy perry fan :)

It's crazy that people trash this pack so much. I am just one of those crazy people that I just wanted it for the aesthetic along with the ridiculously indulgent Bakery I made my sim that was totally obsessed with everything candy. I'm just one of those people that fine the whole idea of the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory aesthetically pleasing as long as it's contained within a game and not within my real world people get a little bit too involved with their Sims games when they keep forgetting it's a life simulation game is a life hidden away from your real life so why not have a cotton candy tree and just for extra fun get generations to get the match Jelly Bean bush

Hi, new subscriber here. First off, KZfaq recommendations actually showed me your channel (literally a miracle it showed something good). Which is great news for you. Secondly, love your series on rating EA builds. I'm not terrible at design but not the best but you make it so easy to see how bad or good some of it is, in such a fun way. Digging into that series is my favourite so far. Thank you. Thirdly, I admittedly like Katty Perry's music and I can't deny she's attractive to me (I'm a sucker for dark hair and melons👀) but I do not engage in fanaticism. So I don't go that far or anything😹. Currently transitioning my entire sims 3 collection to steam because EA's apps are trash. So I'll be getting this pack too, once I find it, and smuggle past my wife👀😹 My personal take, which is partly logical and partly my own experience, is that this pack was purely cash orientated. However I don't think they'll shift from that at all, at least not in the near future. At least it was fun. A lot of candy vibes, reminding me of this old 90's roller coaster candy game lmao. Probably a better cash grab than what we have today but still. Finally, really enjoy your channel. You're doing a great job. Teaching me new things with laughs along the way. Brilliant idea naming your recycle bin EA too lmfao. Definitely looking forward to your content🤗

I only ever had this pack illegally then when I got a new computer I didn’t even consider purchasing it 😭 I did like it for kids room furniture though

I am terrified of the EA App (it thoroughly deleted a friend's mods and now she can't even use mods/cc), so I've switched to steam. There are several custom worlds that use Sweet Treats though so I'd like to pick up the cdkey for the cheap price I see... but I'm worried I cannot use it with Steam? Because only Origin codes exist. I'll be doing some digging...

I have a question. which code should be entered on The Sims 3 website. I am asking because I want buy Katy Perry Sweet Treats, but I don't understand.

As a Katy fan I want it but it’s no longer available on steam :( at least I know there are ways.

An added barrier to getting these items exists for players who use a Mac. In the early 2000's most gaming software was made for PC's and if you could get it for the Mac, it would often cost 50% more, sometimes even double. EA was particularly vicious with this. A 3rd party company named Aspyr has made many old EA titles run on the Mac. For example, Apple users can purchase Sims 2 on the Apple app store even today, and it comes as an all in one item. But it only includes the expansion packs that were coded for Mac (ahem, they never bothered to code Apartment Life for the Mac). ☹ Purchasing older version of Sims 3 games may not work on a Mac. If purchased through EA or Origin, you can access 64 bit versions of most Sims 3 content, but would not be able to load Sweet Treats or Sims Medieval. Such a bummer.

But why would you willingly pay EA?

After watching this, did Katy Perry (I prefer male singers, but hear Katy Perry's song "Last Friday Night" tasty to hear, Simlish & real English) REALLY called in to record her singing in Simlish language to put in The Sims 3🏡🚺🚹, including also male singers like Luke Bryan, Dexter Freebish band & other singers, female & male, also do the same? Want know, for increase skill as investigator🕵🏼‍♀️🕵🏼‍♂️🔍🔎(even though I always lose playing chess since I was little child).
