Im 65 with 45 years riding experience with all kinds of bikes. The Rebel 1100 DCT is a delight. Very zippy around town. Comfy. Enough power. Smooth as silk, always in the right gear, never stalls, handles well. Good looking. Simple, not too much tech. Not too expensive. Honda reliability. Needs nothing but a windshield and bags if desired. No squawks. My other bike is a Ducati Diavel. It spends a lot more time in my garage than the Rebel.

Aint engine braking to hard to make it all that comfy? I certainly feel that way.

@@larifari4371you can customize/tune engine braking. Not sure how to do it but I’ve seen other reviews where people had it in user custom driving mode and it’s one of the settings you can adjust

@@SoulsBorneSoldier The soft engine braking you get with (and only with) the rain modus can't be achieved without an ECU-flash wich is an overkill.

I own the 2022 DCT model and it’s absolutely awesome. I can’t use a shift lever anymore but this 65 year young man is back in the saddle again with this bike, and it rips!!! New seat, exhaust, Batwing Fairing and a few other modifications, and now it’s really amazing! Some have referred to this DCT bike as scooter and a few other things, but this “scooter” leaves Indian Scouts and HD Sportsters still sitting at the traffic 🚦lights!! I feel proud each and every time I watch this video review. After all, I know what I have in my garage, but it’s cool to watch and listen to different perspectives about this bike. Thanks guys!! 👍

I own a 2024 1100t. Here's what they don't tell you. 1. The muffler blocks the right end of the rear axle. One cannot see the hash marks for alignment of rear wheel. Need a Motion Pro tool for this 2 There is no way to lift the wheel for chain maintenance. No tapped holes on swingarm for lifting spools for paddock forks. A universal paddock stand hits the rear luggage brackets and the muffler will not allow contact under the swing arm. 3. Had to use a mini scissor lift under the swingarm crossbar. Needed to make a special block from a 6x6 to clear the muffler and the rear brake lines on the BOTTOM of the crossbar. 4. The engine sump has two drain plugs. Not mentioned in the user manual. I found this out the hard way Great bike but the engineering is not well thought out for maintenance.

None of the Rebel's can use a standard rear lift. The only one that works with the stock exhaust is the Pit Bull Bonneville rear stand.

I can sympathize with that idea but pretty much any cruiser is going to be that way. A bike like the Harley fatboy 114 is over 1800 cc and horsepower isn’t going to be much more (if any) than that. (Of course Harley rarely publishes horsepower). Just different purposes.

It also has a ton of torque tho too. (and thats wheel hp, its higher at the crank like mid 90's) Keep in mind that harleys with much much bigger engines have the same hp (or less) but weigh a ton more. Its performs like a harley at like 130-140+hp. And comparing to a cbr 1000rr is kinda insane. Two different purposes completely, the cbr engine is terrible for a cruiser. The rebel is way more that fast enough for the style of bike, prob stomps most all harleys. Cruisers just dont have super high hp, unless its one of those goofy monster engine cruiser bikes that no one really buys.

There's zero aftermarket for the rebel 1100 yet despite how long this motorcycle has been out . Plenty for nearly every other brand. But not for honda. The fuel tank is too small. There's high speed instability, so it's governed at 99 mph despite the 500 and 300 being able to go over 100 mph . In Florida it's important to have higher mph because of cagers that rage . Then there's the low torque. It needs at least 10 more ft-lbs. This video says the 1100 has 80 hp , it has 86 hp . Get the information accurate if you're going to report on it .

Maybe you should do the same before spewing a bunch of crap. There is TONS of after market support. The Wobble is fixed with better tires and so on... do some research!
@joshbilyeu5245

The wobble is 100% the tires. Simple fix. If you really do need to go over 100 it can be done in various ways now. My friends have flashed the limiter off their ecu. There's also tons of aftermarket stuff, not sure where this BS idea comes from. Do you mean just from Honda only? If so i guess. Lots from other brands. But Harley makes a killing vastly overcharging for parts and service, i can see why they do it but im not dumb enough to overpay like that. I've got friends who have the bikes and also helped them find aftermarket stuff and there's a boatload of things out there. Literally a 1 second google search could have showed you that you were wrong. But I guess that's too much time out of your day. The hp numbers are due to honda not making it public, its found from testing. Which can be confusing since its hp at the wheel where other companies will list what they make at the crank. Meaning the actual number is higher. I'm guessing its upper 90's.

IMO belt would be the best fit. It looks the best on cruiser / bobber style bikes and has a longer life and way less hassle than chains.
