Frank was adopted from an owner of neglect and has been on low calorie food for about a year now. He has lost a significant amount of weight since then! Believe me you should have seen him before, bloated like a ballon. I appreciate everyone's concerns in the comments, but just know he is in good hands & is very happy. Cats are awesome. Get one. You forgot: Your home is no longer your home. It's the cat's and he's only letting you live there so you can clean, give him food & water and be there for his General amusement. If you get a kitten, 3 a.m. is party time. Get use to a lot of noise. You have to allow the car access to you whenever you're at home. Unless you don't mind scratching at a closed door, paws under the door OR really pathetic crying.

My csts are brothers a d zre 2years old. Since I live in a rual town, they are free range kitties and rarely use their litter boxes. Notice, boxes. Cats must have their own private litter box. They do not like to share. Mac and Cheese have very different personalities,likes and dislikes. Mac is very humble and likes to curl up by my feet. He is not a lap cat. Cheese loves to curl up in my lap and fall asleep as I pet him. He loves being held and petted. Mac is nearly 2lbs lughter thsn his big brother but he is a fierce hunter. Cheese, not so much. Even so, I am usually able to rescue what ever they catch and release it in a safe spot. Tbe most difficult wsd this crazy ninja squirrel. He wa in the house 3 days before I was able to catch him.

I love seeing interspecies friendships as strong as this. ❤️

I have a cat but I didn't "get a cat". It"s quite the contrary, the cat decided to "get a human" ! One day this cat just showed up in our garden, meowing and starving. It was abandonned and chose us to be his new family :) He is so sweet and loving, he always wants to be near us and he kills the mice that are in our garden !

OMG I thought I was the only on who's cat behaved like that. My cat is so loyal like a dog, when I go for my morning walks he follows me to the end of the street before realising he can't go too far from home and he turns around and go back. It's amazing to see how smart and loyal animals can be sometimes

What so difficult about that, just feed them twice a day and left them alone..

Just saying one needs to feed a cat is not enough. A cat's health is highly dependent on the RIGHT food. Sadly many cat owners don't have a clue and just do what the ads tell them. The cat in this video is an example for feeding it wrong. It's too fat. 1. Give them high quality canned food. Dry food only for the night. Cats need a good amount of water in the food because otherwise it leads to kidney disease! 2. No sugar! Cats get caries from it as we humans do. Not only does tooth eviction cost a fortune, it's also a torture for a cat. 3. No milk! Milk contains lactose and leads to squitters. You want to clean up that mess? Give them water. 4. The next time you buy wet food look at the ingredients list. You will be astounded at how few meat is actually in it (mostly just about 5%). Try to get food with more meat. 5. Clean the water bowl at least every second day. Otherwise bacteria replicate to a dangerous amount. 6. Place the water bowl NOT near the food. In nature, cats instinctively don't drink when a cadaver is near because of the toxins which probably emit from it. Domesticated cats still have that instinct and possibly refuse to drink from a water bowl near the food. 7. Get a second cat, especially when you go to work every day. They need a companion or they feel lonely and abandoned. 8. DON'T DECLAW!!! Get scratch posts. 9. If necessary let your cat's claws cut by a professional only. Claws can split and there are blood vessels in them. In case a claw splits or you cut into a blood vessel it can lead to an infection. 10. Bathe a cat only in an emergency situation (oil from crawling under a car for example).
