Thanks for mentioning the cleaning vinegar. I use it to make my own homemade weed killer. It's WAY cheaper than chemical weed killers and safe for the environment and pets. In a pump sprayer, mix one gallon of cleaning vinegar, one cup of table salt and three or four quirts of dish soap. Mix it thoroughly to dissolve the salt. Spray it on any weeds you want to kill. Be careful, it doesn't discriminate between "good" plants and "bad" plants. (I only included the recipe for the weed killer because I thought some people might want to know more about it.) Enjoy!

If I ever live in a place where weeds are a problem again, I'll remember this! Does it kill kudzu, the scourge of the South? I used to live in East Texas and that stuff was insidious! I'd clear my backyard every Saturday only to find that stuff had grown a foot or more next week. I sure wish I'd known this 22 years ago. Thank you for sharing this. My aunt's beloved dog, Tinker, died because her neighbor sprayed very toxic chemicals just to kill a few weeds. That was when I was a child, I've hated any poisons since and always look for alternatives that aren't deadly to unintended species. Now I live on a California desert mountain. I don't have a weed problem but mostly because I have a herd of adorable goats who eat everything down to bare ground. We have horribly devastating fires here, and it's only getting worse. I have portable indoor swamp coolers but no AC (how we poor folk try to stay cool in the desert Southwest). They get gross pretty quick with algae and mold unless treated. Instead of buying the toxic commercial stuff, I use vinegar. It keeps the pump and lines clean too. I'm going to try this. I only use vinegar and baking soda to clean my large bathroom because that's where my parrot lives. Birds are very sensitive to chemicals, but those are very safe and effective. I also got rid of any Teflon products because they are deadly to birds. Better for our own health too! If it can kill a bird, it isn't good for us either, like a canary in a coal mine.

Cleaning vinegar is not the same thing!! It is much stronger. Regular vinegar is 5% acid to 95% water and cleaning vinegar is 20% stronger. Never use cleaning vinegar for food or to drink - the acid is too strong. You can use it in laundry, especially for things with strong odors or mold deeply embedded, but I’d be really careful and very selective. Regular vinegar works for 99% of laundry. I’d, personally, only use cleaning vinegar on items I felt were unusable and it was either toss them or give this a try as a last ditch effort. It will likely turn out fine if the fabric is in good condition and not delicate. Natural fibers would work better than synthetics. Hope that helped!

I used similar plastic crates to the white ones you feature at the beginning of this video to create a little library for my son's books along the bottom of his clothes closet when he was about 4 years old. These plastic crates worked very well for this purpose. My son had a LOT of BOOKS! The weight of the books (even little kid books) kept them relatively "set" into place in the closet. The two young sons of a friend of mine used to love to come over. They'd sit down on the carpeting, right at the opening of his closet, pulling out book after book to leaf through and "read" them. They were fascinated! Good memories!

@LazyIRanch
@LazyIRanch Жыл бұрын
@@megatuanis Fabric softener is garbage. anyway. Most young people don't use it because it's a useless product and they have learned that it's a scam. Older people were sold on this waxy crap long ago because of commercials. Downy smells nice on clothes, but so does a few drops of lavender oil, which can repel moths. These Suavitel products are sold at a lot of stores with hispanic clients. It's overpriced for what it is. IMO, it's not worth buying. This brand is heavily marketed towards the latino/latina market. It's cheaper than the garbage promoted to middle class Americans, but they make similar products at a lower price and fool people into buying bottles of soap that contains mostly water. I like the bar laundry soap bars like Fels Naptha and Zote. My elderly aunt taught me how to use bar laundry soap. It takes so little to wash a load I've been using the same bar for a year. I use a fine grater, and mix it with powdered borax and baking soda. Let it soak in my laundry sink, and put a little lavender oil in the final rinse. My clothes have never been cleaner. I don't even scrub , just let it soak for a day and rinse. I wash in the deep sink in my laundry room these days because my so-called efficient washing machine does not clean effectively. We were sold snake oil on these terrible "efficient" machines that grow mold and bacteria and stink. Ick! I couldn't believe how much filth came out of stuff that had been "washed"

I will watch anything you are promoting, your enthusiasm is so enjoyable!! What is your new baby’s name?

Im glad ppl are liking a few of the still dollar ish Things. But I can never find the stuff mentioned. Guess maybe the light. Which i equate with a separate bad experience so didn't stockpile. A new food item was small picante 8 oz. Which a cletk helped me find the one I like. Freezer and cold juice are same or smaller selection. Sorry to be so negative. I did find potato sticks froz. That someone mentioned but the not the egg roll size. You da man the Fastest!

I'm ridiculously excited about the Dash & Glass!! It's been nearly impossible to find for the last year - so much so, I had emailed Turtle Wax to see if it was discontinued. When I did find it - it was $15!! If you've never used it - it's really great for getting that haze off the inside of the windows.....and you can use it everywhere else in the car. Love it!!

I used Suavitel back when I was in a low income household and had my first child or 2, in their birth to toddler years. It smelled great and was super cheap, but the only problem was that after a few days the nice fresh or floral scent would wear off and the laundry items it was used on would begin to smell like insecticide such as Raid. Once I realized that's what the cause was, I quit using it. I have no idea if it's changed since then.

I've been using the Magic Eraser knockoffs from Dollar Tree, and they're definitely different, not quite as effective but they work. I use the clear organizer trays to sort and store my jewelry...earrings, rings, pins, bracelets, etc. They're more expensive in other stores. I believe those big plastic plates are called chargers that go underneath the dinner plates, then on top of the dinner plate you can put your salad bowl or soup bowl, etc. The chargers are used at special dinner events for decorative purposes.
