The reason Triple H losing clean is so rare is because it NEEDS to be rare. Look at a guy like Chris Jericho. Jericho put FANDANGO over at WrestleMania. The guy exists to be a jobber to future stars. Someone going over Jericho doesn't have much meaning anymore because it's expected now. He always puts over younger and/or newer talent. That's why people were so shocked when Jericho went over AJ Styles at WrestleMania. Meanwhile, someone pinning Triple H clean is still a huge deal. The same can actually be said of John Cena. Cena losing clean is still enormous because of how rare it is. If an established star puts people over ALL of the time then it loses impact and it has less meaning.

It's not 10, but it's a start.

I don't get the HHH bashing. He took the fall for the curtain call incident and it's not like he had much stroke in his early Game days, so you have to give a lot of blame for the burying to the bookers and Vince. Sure, HHH has a huge ego, I believe you have to be a success in the WWE. BUT like it shows in the video, put over 3 guys at mania in the main event. Yet to see super Cena do that. Oh, and HHH will save the WWE when Vince retires if NXT is anything to go off

+Joe Atherton NXT isn't anything to go off of. NXT has no shareholders to please, thus they can do basically anything and use it to really improve talent's mic work or in ring work, RAW and Smakdown will always work the same way in the "safe" way Vince does it now because if the shareholders aren't happy and publicity isn't good than WWE can lose a lot of money.

Marc Espinoza Cena doesn't bury talent, you're thinking of the creative team and Vince, Vince clearly had nothing else for Bray at that point and chose to have him lose to Cena, it's not burying him, you kids need to learn what burial actually means. If you look at "The Shockmaster" and how he turned out or people like Umaga, Yokozuna after his one title win, that's a "burial", losing to a top star like Cena early into your career is not buying.

Joe Atherton That was only because there was a person to take his place and it wasn't in WWE that he was heel if you're referring to the nWo Hogan, in WWE right now there is no one who sells merch as well and does as much as Cena, that's why he doesn't turn heel, it's not his choice as to if he turns heel or not, it's Vince, when Vince sees a face that will be the next big face there will be a potential turn for Cena, as of right now the only one who's up for that spot is the obvious Roman Reigns because he has the look and attitude Vince wants in a face.

You named some of my favorite matches. HBK vs Triple H at SummerSlam was perhaps my favorite of all time. One that might not fall into the "clean loss" category was Triple H dropping the Undisputed Championship to Hulk Hogan at Backlash. The Battle of the Biceps, they called it and of course Jericho and Taker both interfered trying to steer the win in a preferable direction.

Probably the most glaring stat is Triple H being a heel and winning in the main event at Wrestlemania 2000. But I've said it for years, Triple H puts over talent when it matters. Oh, remember when he was doing an arc with Shelton Benjamin and he couldn't beat him?
