10 Tips and Tricks for MOVEMENT in Guild Wars 2

Күн бұрынHello and welcome to a brief guide that will go over several different tips and tricks to improve your movement in Guild Wars 2. I have been playing this game since 2012 and have played for thousands of hours. During that time, I have learned several different things that I use every time I play the game.
Most of these tips are for navigating the open world of Guild Wars 2. Where I will be showing you ways to navigate various maps in a faster and easier way. However, some tips are useful for other parts of the game as well. Such as in combat or in PvP. Additionally, a lot of these tips are relevant as you unlock various different things throughout your time playing the game. But some of these tips you can consider the second you start playing this game.
Finally, I am talking about 10 specific tips and tricks in this video, but I threw in several more tips throughout the video in relevant areas. So I hope you learn a lot from this video!

Great guide. Jackal seems better and better. Jackal blink resets the downward momentum which means you can jump at any height and not die. It also works better with the energy skill compared to the Rator. When blinking/jumping the regeneration from the skill temporarily stops. The Raptors jump has a significantly bigger animation compared to Jackals blink, with a little test you can see how many extra blinks vs jumps you gain from the skill and how much better it is for the jackal.

4:58 oh careful with speeding ahead in older story instances while escorting npcs, sometimes it can bug and you would need to restart the instance

Nice video! :) I would like to add a few tips about some ingame items could also help, especially in jumping puzzles. First of course, the Prototype Position Rewinder and maybe the Watchwork Portal Device. Not everyone know about these. But also a few items bundles that can be bought from vendors like the Experimental Rifle and the Experimental Teleportation Gun. If you're uncertain where to find those, just wiki them.

I feel like the quickly getting off the ground bit would work well as a standalone or short. It was the most interesting bit for me, by far. Tho I did appreciate some of the other details! ;)

Nice video. I would love to know the keybinds you use for mounting and dismounting so smoothly without using an extension like gw2radial.

I'm glad you liked it! I have my four main mounts keybound to Ctrl 1-4. Which in order is Raptor, Griffon, Roller Beetle, and Skyscale. I then have all of my other mounts, which I infrequently use, keybound to numpad 1-5. Which in order is Springer, Skimmer, Jackal, Warclaw, and Siege Turtle. I use to have all of my mounts keybind to the Ctrl + number keys, but as more kept getting added I split them between the two spots. Hitting my numpad keys isn't too big of a problem for me but it's definitely slower than just hitting my Ctrl + number keys. But I don't use those mounts that often so it doesn't annoy me at all.

I thought it's for beginners. But all it talks about is mounts. By the time I will unlock those mounts I won't need this guide.

I talked about how you unlock stuff as you progress through the game. But tips 2, 6, 8, and part of 10 have nothing to do with mounts and tips 7 and 9 are relevant when you unlock the raptor at level 10. Plus people unlock various things in the game sooner than other people depending on what they work towards so some of the other stuff might be relevant earlier than later. And then of course, not everyone learns everything about the game the second they unlock stuff.
