This is the best advice I've ever heard about school and work ethic. I am treating my degree as a job and it's going so much better. It's something I *want* to do rather than something I *have* to do.

Thanks for being so real, upfront and informative. There were a few new tips that I picked up here that other nursing youtube tip videos didn't mention. Love your passion and how you're upfront about things. It makes us think and is inspiring! Keep the nursey videos coming.

Honestly, these tips are so helpful, and they go above and beyond the classroom! Absolutely love it! I love how you were so passionate when speaking about investing in yourself and your education! It honestly blew my mind away because I never considered being a full time student as a job! I agree with you 100%. If we're willing to bend backwards for others, we should be more than willing to do so for ourselves and our education! Such helpful pieces of advice! I can't wait to implement them all during my upcoming semester! :)

The passion you have when you speak about giving yourself as much time as you give someone else is very inspiring. Much needed. I felt like this was a pep talk directly towards me. I start my second half of my 4 year BSN in September and I am really getting anxious the closer it gets.

thank you so much for this video. It was well worth those precious 15 minutes outside of my book. Despite my love for nursing I just recently experienced the famous "hopeless break down" after taking my first test and after watching this video I feel so much more confident and ready to tackle the rest of my experience in nursing school. Best wishes:)

Loved this video! Aside from her great tips she gives very good advice and life lessons that are very important and vital! I love her message of if you can wake up at 6am to catch a train for your job to work for someone else’s company, then you can wake up at 6 am to study for YOURSELF. You should give yourself equal or more amount of energy to yourself than you do for someone else! Love it!

Thank you soooo much for this video!!! I begin Nursing School in the fall and I have viewed several videos on how hard it is and I am completely aware!! Also, what drew me to this video was the title!! Everyone keeps saying "you used to be a an A student but now that you're in nursing school you'll become a C student"t!!! and up until I viewed your video I accepted this way of thinking!! I am an A student and I really want to do the work to remain an A student in nursing school esp. since I want to further my education and become an CRNA! so thank you so much for your tips and advice and I am going to spend the rest of the summer freshening up on my conversions and math and I do plan to purchase the NCLEX-RN book soon so I can get a feel for what its like. Thank you so much, you are God sent!!

I dont think i have ever liked a KZfaq video but i had to login on a different device and search for your video again just so that i could like it. Amen! Your a wonderful woman! You're empowering others rather than scaring them away from nursing like so many others do. Thank you so much for putting your voice out there like this. You've made a difference in my point of view. Your words will stick in my head as i begin nursing school. Dont stop doing what your doing because your words are pushing women like me to keep pushing forward against the grain. Thank you.

This is really great advice that isn't cliche (i.e. 'Study hard'). I have a 45+ min commute each way, so I especially like the idea of recording lectures. I will have to incorporate your reading tips, since I am one of those who likes to read everything just in case, and it is really overwhelming, in Nursing 101 especially. Thanks!
