Urea has been a game changer for my dehydration. It's a NMF, and I feel that it has really shown up and done the work on my skin. Ishizawa Labs has a urea toner and cream, as well as an eye cream. The toner does have alcohol as the very last ingredient. Honestly, it would have been a product that I would never have tried if I hadn't randomly gotten a free travel size. Not only has it not caused even a little irritation, but it has totally changed my skin. Texture is now SO smooth, and it has even helped somewhat with brightening. The toner is great if you already have a cream in your routine, and the cream is great even if you have congestion prone skin. Definitely worth a try!

Tip: mix 2 tbsp glycerine with 100ml water & spray it 4 to 5 times ( alternative to toner) Glycerine 👌👌👌, plus use either cleansing balm or micellar water as cleanser.

Thanks for so many great tips! I find hydrating essences layered underneath hydrating serums (such as Erno Laszlo) help lock in hydration without feeling heavy or greasy.

We've already had a week and a half of snow and I've been using the LRP cicaplast balm morning and night. True holy grail product along with the Illiyoon Ato Concentrate Cream and my arsenal of hydrating toners, don't know what I would do during the winter months without those. Checking your cleansers is actually golden advice, I've been sticking to the Bioderma micellar water in the morning and often am skipping my gel cleanser after myoil cleanser in the evening.

I really like the Pipette sunscreen during the day. It is thicker, zinc oxide based but full of squalane. I'm outside quite a bit during the day and it really helps protect my skin from the sun and wind.

I have super dry skin and the LRP cica plast has been my HG for the past 2 years, I have probably repurchased it like 10 times by now. I don’t like oils on my face so I avoid face oils, however I love to use these occlusive creams and also Korean sleeping masks instead. Ive not tried that HeartLeaf sunscreen, it sounds lovely and I like Heartleaf so will definitely be adding that to my next KBeauty Haul.

Thank you for mentioning things I’ve never heard of. Should I use Paula’s choice exfoliate skin perfecting BHA liquid if I have dry dehydrated skin? I definitely feel like I want to wash and hydrate my face often throughout the day. ( I don’t, but know the feeling) I’m guilty of not having a skin care regimen and am buying products to try. My skin is pretty reactive so I have to be careful. 😒

Have you tried the Illiyoon Concentrate GEL - would you recommend it over the concentrate cream for dehydrated skin that is usually oily, but is dehydrated from over-use of retinol?

Your tip you use la Roche posay lipikar triple action repair moisturizer has saved my skin so far this winter! It's the only moisturizer that has kept me from drying out during my work day. My barrier is very strong right now because of it. I also slug over it at night. I'm surprised you didn't mention that moisturizer in this video lol. It's the best.

Cerave Moisturizing Cream is definitely something I keep returning to. Eucerin Aquaphor ointment is a tad too greasy and tacky for layering by contrast.

Cerave moisturizing cream literally did the opposite effect to me. It destroyed my skin barrier instead of repairing. I'm sure it's not fake product since i purchased it from a reliable retailer. My sister faced the same situation too. Since then, i stared to have trust issues with dermatologist recommended brands. I'm not saying they're always bad.

Unfortunately the medication I take causes my dehydration so there is very little I can do other than having hydrating and occlusive products in my skincare.

It irritates me to no end when I say I have dry or dehydrated skin and people say drink water. 🙄 I drink a lot of fluids all day long! It doesn’t help.

Omg, Sierra, I know! It's very dismissive and just bad advice. Be hydrated yes, but dehydrated skin won't be solved by drinking lots of water!
