That's a great tip for the tape on the sd card. I use to use some metal tweezers to push my card in and out on my mavic 2 pro. But one day it shortened out the sd card and it started to smoke! So tape is a good idea. My drone was OK after I had to send it back to dji to be checked out. A lot of stress for doing something silly.

Thanks for posting the detail about the cage mode in the app!I ordered one of these already and have binge watched about a thousand videos so far (exaggerating) but you are truly the only person who thought to mention that detail - important because I'm sure a lot of people who are buying this drone are first-timers like me! This tiny detail plus the fact that your content is awesome means that you are definitely an officially my first drone related subscription! :)

Nice tutorial Aldryn! Love the way you explain on every drone that you have. I am using iPad Mini 4 for flying my drones and without any iPad dock/ holder. The remote can actually fit iPad mini.. Looking for your new videos! Cheers from Indonesia

You mentioned that there are no settings for the camera in video mode.. I think that the most important setting for me in video is an AE lock.. I like to bring my drone up and then point the camera down (eliminate any sky influence) and then lock the exposure.. Worse case is a blown out sky and that is ok because I don't take video of clouds.. but by locking the exposure allows me to fly around while keeping the exposure consistent no matter if I am facing into the sun or not.. Another feature I like is waypoints.. I use Red Waypoint app with my Spark and this allows me to preplan a flight (I know before hand the flight distance and time of completion), and I can preset the camera as to the direction I want it pointing between way points.. As well as other settings associated with waypoints flight plans (height, speed, pause, take a photo, stop and start video etc).. This saves time and makes better use of the limited flight time of the Spark.. By preplanning a flight also saves time in post processing.. You simply load a preplanned flight, click go and sit back and wait for the drone to return to home and land..

I'm a new owner of the Mini. Enjoying your videos. Was flying indoors with the cage, and came across a vertical and horizontal distance limit when flying more than 30 meters (I think). I was flying from inside out into the yard. Took me a while to figure why, but it appears that DJI puts flying limits on when the cage is attached (under load). You might mention that in your video if possible. Thanks.

Without and SD card you can capture to your phone. It does have extra UI pieces, but it works.
