I do not blame you lol. While the elements for REAL RTS games are there the barrier to entry is still high due to the need to micromanage almost everything to play optimally. It makes high level PVP more like a MOBA which I admittedly don't care much for in RTS. Games like Stronghold Crusader, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, and to an extent even Army Men RTS have much better defensive options, unit AI, and pathing. Which significantly mitigates the requirement to micromanage and is more favorable and enjoyable to play at all levels of skill.

For me it's because what the game is for me and how people get competitive and tryhard with it like it's any random rts are completely different things. If you just wanna tryhard go play StarCraft or something me personally I just wanna have fun. And I will never forgive Microsoft if they try give the remake "e-sports ready" balances. The game is supposed to be fun and unbalanced why take that away ?

Even after all these years I'm still learning new things, I had no idea you could garrison sentinels. I'm not sure if I fit into any of these categories because I usually only play custom games/custom maps. If I had describe my play style it would be a mixture of luck, rushing Heroic, and defensive.

When I originally planned this video I thought of adding a player that only plays custom map scenarios, but there's less games around than there used to be so wouldn't have been able to get clips. Hopefully with retold some of the fun scenarios get a resurgence
