Quentin Tarantino apparently had to consult a doctor 4 hours after choking those actors as his "enthusiasm" hadn't subsided. Allegedly.

Christoph Waltz refused to play another bad guy and told Tarantino he’d only take the part if all his actions were honorable. QT obliged.

Keaton would actually play Nicollet again in the movie "Out Of Sight" with JLo and George Clooney since this and Jackie Brown are actually connected : Jackie Brown aka "Rum Punch" and Out of Sight were both written by Elmore Leonard.

Acutally, the choking in Inglorious Basterds was done by Tarantino because Waltz didn't want to do apply any kind of pressure, and Tarantino thought it would look bad. He asked the actress for her permission, she agreed because she trusted him, they went on for 30 seconds and a stunt manager was checking the whole thing. Come on, guys, let's be fair.

Kurt Russel was so good in The Hateful Eight it's too bad he wasn't in Django. Also Tarantino talks about Zoe Bell in Death Proof on Rogan, specifically that car scene and it's very interesting how they did it. Worth the listen even if you aren't a fan of Rogan.

The no eye-contact rule sounds crazy, but to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if it's true, I just get the feeling that DiCaprio is that type of person, he strikes me as someone who is kind of full of themselves.

Also fairly likely he made one offhand comment to an over-achieving production assistant that took it WAY too seriously and started spreading it around like it was gospel.

Well, the Bruce Lee scene was inspired by the rumoured Gene Lebell vs Bruce lee exchange during the filming of green hornet, where (allegedly) LeBell lifted Lee onto his back in what’s called a fireman’s carry and ran around the set with him. This happened b/c Lee's fighting style was deficient in grappling and takedowns type of stuff judo is famous for... he later learned it from Lebell. so it was told

I like Leonardo Carpio but I can’t stand pretentious celebrities demanding that no one is allowed to look at them. Like Ellen, I’m sure there’s a few others but I can’t think of them right now lol. If they don’t want to make eye contact they’re the ones who should be looking down not the rest of the world.

I could kind of see it as a bit of method acting, as his OUaTiH character is probably the kind of pretentious faded idol who thinks it's wrong for the crew to make eye contact with "the star." I've never heard about him acting that way on other sets, at least.
