@@Tommisterio22 There is the UNSUNG MOD for ArmA 2. I know that a couple of the Arma 2 community members released a campaign named Dong Xuan where you play the role of various Vietnamese soldiers. Here's the link. www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=31068 You need to own Arma 2 though and download the required Mods to play it. This is not a official campaign, this has been made by a couple of passionate ArmA community members. Apart from 7554 and the Dong Xuan campaign I don't know of any game where you can play as a Vietnamese soldier. Kind of sad, but it is what it is. I'm sorry. My best wishes to you.

Rising Storm 2 Vietnam is good, still being played today. It's a different experience you get from your regular FPS game. I remember playing Men of Valor back in the day. It was real good for its time. The trailer gave me flashbacks

I have noticed one thing. There has never been a game which has depicted the war in Korea. At least I don't know of any. We had all kind of war games from WW 2 to Vietnam to modern conflict like the gulf wars or Afghanistan but never Korea which strikes me really odd. I really can't say . . . apart from Rising storm Vietnam which is strictly multiplayer no developer seems to touch the Vietnam war. Thanks for leaving your comment. The Vietnam war never was... really popular, The death was there with all the Charlis and USCM teams, with the republic of vietnam too, everyone died... But it was an publicity war too, the USA needed the aprovation of the republic of vietnam to stay there, and as a republic the town had the word.

Yes, you are right, but more then missed I left it out because it was only a small part of the campaign which depicted the Vietnam war and it was actually the best part of the campaign in my humble opinion. It was refreshing to see it though. I never expected a COD game to have a Vietnam war story. IMO Cod black ops was the best of all the black op series. Thanks for commenting. All the best😁

Thanks for your comment. I bought the DLC and the only gripe I have is the total lack of any SP content. As a long time member of the Arma community I have used in the past community MODs over all these years for free. Now that the Creator DLC is a thing I bought them all to give something back in return for all those years I have used their MODS for free. All the best.

Yeah, unfortunately, there aren't. There are actually only very few games on the Vietnam war in general and some of them can't even be purchased anymore too old. Older games might not even be running on newer operating systems. Some might run only on Windows XP, which is really a shame. I lost the first Vietcong game when I moved to another place and it's hard to get a new one. Thanks for commenting

@Nolkin Blubaugh That is a good question and I will try to answer that as best as I can. With the introduction of the new community guidelines videos can be removed or banned very easily. I received copyright strikes for some video's just by showing a couple of minutes game content from the original trailer. For being honest it is a protective measure towards minors and for my own protection as well Given the social climate we are currently living in I would rather avoid getting into trouble. Just one wrong word or interpretation can get you into troubles with the you tube overlords. LOL. Censorship has become a real pain. I've seen lot's of channels (not necessarily gaming channels) which have been shut down because they (you tube) are uncomfortable with certain topics discussed on these channels. I wish the lines of direction would be clearer in certain regards but the lines are blurred. You need to chose very carefully the words you are using because someone might get offended by something. Your comment actually made me reflect and encourages me to release the next video's not age restricted from now on. Let's see what will happen. @@RatsAreNice222 Rising Storm Vietnam is the most recent game released which is depicting the Vietnam war but is has no single player only multiplayer. There are no recent games with a single player campaign for the Vietnam era. I wish you a happy new year cheers.

Yes That is correct. There are simply very few games covering the Vietnam war. But in case you own ArmA 3 you can always subscribe to the Mod in the Steam workshop. There's also plenty of good user made stuff and missions made by the community. Thanks for commenting. Cheers

Elite warrior Vietnam looks very much like Shellshock Nam 67. I'm wondering if its by some of the same devs because i know shellshock 2 caused a bit of controversy by departing wildly from the script. It looks to similar to not be related.

Hello mikeycraig8970 I couldn't tell I know Elite warrior Vietnam but I never played Shellshock Nam 67. The developer of Elite warrior is an American Developer called NFusion meanwhile Shellshock Nam 67 was developed by Guerilla games. I had to look that up. Moreover the release dates are too close to each other Shellshock 2004 - Elite Warriors 2005. I believe it's more of an coincidence. Anyway thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment. But I know that men of valor was created by a breakaway team from ea who had previously been Medal of Honor developers. Thought there might be a similar story with EWs because it really does look a spitting image of nam 67. Men of Valor also happens to be my favourite Vietnam game, hard as nails, but still excellent with it.

@@mikeycraig8970Great you enjoyed this video. I still haven't played Men of Valor for being honest although I have that game. It is possible after Medal of Honor Allied Assault quite some developers left. Some went on to make the first Call of Duty. Maybe there were others doing different projects. My favorite one is the first Vietcong. This was a real awesome game for the time it was released. If you haven't played it try it out. The thumbnail of the video is from a MOD for the game ArmA 3 called "UNSUNG" There was an official DLC release for ArmA 3 covering the Vietnam era just a couple of weeks ago called "S.O.G. Prairie Fire". Unfortunately the DLC is only Multiplayer. No Single player content available which is a pity. Cheers

03:20 Now that is good jungle. Conflict Vietnam. No VN game has had proper triple canoply jungle. Elephant grass 8 feet tall or more. No more than 4 or 5 meters of vision. Jungle paths and bunkers only. No one has done that before. Vietcong 1 comes close however the foliage is never dense enough. 08:30 Vietcong 2 Loved playing that after Vietcong 1. There are 2 good levels that you can replay over and over. The embassy and the docks/bridge. 12:10 Rising Storm 2 Vietnam My current favorite after CSGO Wargames. DP-28 machine gun is the best weapon on the game. Shotguns and smoke rounds are a second favorite. The DP-28 is light enough to be great up close and precise enough to snipe with at a great distance and powerful enough to take out helicopters and planes with ease. They made the M16 and AK47 much flimsier and lighter and more prone to recoil than they were in Vietcong, where they were among the best weapons in the game. 14:00 Vietcong I have a great idea for an expanded Vietcong 1 - modern graphics, coherent and purposeful single player story, expanded commander role from RS2VN, training/instruction expanded from the usual training course level. Basically teach anyone how to aim and shoot all the weapons in the game - and give people ranks as their skills advance. Getting skills in FPS can be made fun. What made Vietcong 1 all about Vietnam, was that it was nearly all in the jungle and bunkers. Making the setting a city in Vietcong 2 made the game completely generic, it could have been anywhere, no matter how many Vietnamese signs and carpets they put all over the place.

I believe it is mostly due to performance issues. I'm very passionate about the UNSUNG MOD for the ArmA series. I remember some Terrains made for ArmA 2 which had some pretty thick jungle. You couldn't see shit most of the times you got shot at but couldn't see the enemy. It was an experience as close as it can get in a video game. Most gamer are more into casual gaming and I'm pretty sure they would complain very quickly. ArmA 3 is momentarily on discount on Steam during the Winter sale. You can subscribe on the workshop and download the UNSUNG MOD for free. It is most probably the only game which comes as close to the real thing as it can be. The Modding community is great. It sharpens your skills and builds character in the meantime. Night missions too, and rain. It forces you to think about why the enemy could see you and you could not see the enemy. Where the enemy could be located. What are the lines of sight along the map? From where can you be seen an a given position? That's probably where the enemy is. Then, what direction did the tracers come from? How far away did the shot sound, if there was a sound? Now you know where to expect the enemy and focus on that. Tips: always look around objects, never over them. If you look over them, you can be seen from 360 degrees. If you look around objects at about 30 degree increments at a time, you can control what you can see and focus on and you can control who can see you.

It depends of the size of the terrains and maps that you are using how many units are in the mission there are a lot of things to consider. I don't know if you are familiar with ArmA 3. It has an editor which allows you pretty much to create your own missions or even campaigns. It has been improved to the point that you don't have to have scripting skills to make some decent missions. Compared to ArmA 2 it's a piece of cake. For me the editor in the Arma games is the main attraction and after playing the campaigns if I play ArmA it's the editor which gives me the biggest satisfaction. The ArmA franchise is not perfect but it's one of my favorite games ever. The Modding community is very talented you can do pretty much everything you want with ArmA. In case you have a little bit of money to spent I can only recommend it. "I have a great idea for an expanded Vietcong 1 - modern graphics, coherent and purposeful single player story, expanded commander role from RS2VN, training/instruction expanded from the usual training course level. Not sure if I'm understanding your question for being honest. Vietcong 1& 2 and Conflict Vietnam are old games. None of these games are available on Steam. Not even on Amazon these games are currently available. You need to search where you can buy them I can't help you with that I'm sorry,

I am looking for a Vietnam game, but I can't find it. As far as I remember, it was a game from 2004/2005 and I begin a mission on a beach as a Vietnamese and I had 2 ore 3 companions and I entered in an american base. I remember it had many levels. At one level I was climbing high in the mountain and I took a telecabin.

I apologize for my late reply but I was trying to find out of which game you are talking about. The only game I know of where you are playing as a Vietnamese soldier is 7754 by a Vietnamese developer. I still have to upload the campaign. I liked it because it was depicting the French Indochina war rather then the American involvement in Vietnam. But other then that I have really no clue. 7754 is the only game I know where you play as a Vietnamese. I would love to find out which game you are talking about. Thanks for commenting.🙂

@@raulperez4458 You are right. I totally forgot that. You have to play a certain amount of the American campaign in order to unlock the possibility to play as a Vietnamese soldier. But I'm damned to say I don't remember very much about that campaign. I guess it's time to play some good ole Vietcong. Thanks for commenting

I'm searching for this older war game about American soldiers fighting Vietnamese soldiers (I think) and you could fly airplanes. The only other thing I remember about that game is that one of the levels was near and island. The Vietnamese soldiers were on the island while the American soldiers had to get in a plane and fly to the island. Also it was first person

Yeah I must admit I'm a sucker for Intro's and machinima. There's a lot of work and effort in it, to get everything right. I really admire these guys who did the "intros" I did some other playlists always used the official trailers. Some are really incredible. Most of the time when you are playing you really don't notice a lot of things because you are eager to get into the missions and play the game. I hope you can accept my explanation on why I'm using intros a lot . . . because I love them. All the best and thanks for leaving your comment.

@skoti SK I'm sorry not that I'm aware off. Last Vietnam Wargame that I know of was Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, and it is only multi player. I really don't understand. you seem to have it right, with Vietcong being top spot. don't you know everyone hate/hated Vietcong 2 because it was urban crap only? just replace it with Vietcong prequal- fist alpha that came last but was great.

Hi Juan. I chose the cinematic over game play videos because I'm a sucker for good cinematic and machinima. It takes a lot of time effort and work to get these done. I'm currently working on a machinima for the ArmA III Vietnam DLC S.O.G. Prairie Fire, released a couple of weeks ago. Concerning game play videos, there are plenty of videos with game play footage out there. The main purpose of the video is to inform people what's out there. Nobody does triple canopy jungle and undergrowth correctly. The environment makes the war. Low visibility and jungle warfare are what set Vietnam apart from WWI, WWII, Korea and beyond. @ pemediepie I do understand your disappointment but there's little I can do about it. The only game I know where you are playing as a Vietnamese soldier is called 7554. It has been made by a Vietnamese developer. I tried once to play it but I was unable to do so. The game lagged so heavy for me that it was unplayable so I desisted in the end.

@@Tommisterio22 Yeah I downloaded it and tried it too but as I said I was unable to play it. Notwithstanding I changed settings of the game I suffered extreme lag which prevented me from playing it. Were you able to play it?

We need good Vietnam War games, I think the only good games on this list are Rising Storm Vietnam 2 and the Arma 3 mod, because otherwise, the games are horrible, especially Man of Valor, whoever played it knows the crap what is.

@TμGФT Hi thanks for commenting. Rising Storm is Multiplayer only. and Arma 3 has now an official Vietnam DLC S.O.G. Prairie. Unfortunately there is little to no official Single player content as well. I liked the the first Vietcong game when it came out. Vietcong 2 was light years away from the first one. as for the rest the list contains a lot of older games. It's hard to find games depicting the Vietnam War in the first place good games are even more rare. All the best.😁

@@steveman0420 I did a search after you've pointed out 7554. I could find a version on the developers website due to the anniversay of the Vietnam War so I downloaded it.. Unfortunately the version on the site is only in Vietnamese. I tried to figure out if there was a possibility to change language in the ingame settings but I couldn't find any trace of multiple languages settings. It's very difficult to play a game when you don't speak the native language. LOL. I know that that on ebay and some other sites you can still purchase the game. If 7554 is F2P is there any chance that you could point me in a direction where I maybe can find and download the F2P version? Thanks for replying.

I do understand your disappointment. There are tons of game play videos available if someone does a quick search. I chose the cinematic trailers on purpose since I'm a huge fan of machinima and it takes a lot of effort doing it. So yeah I understand your dislike. No hard feelings. All the best.
