Fashion trends come and go but when the goodies return it's time to celebrate. So in today's fashion and style edit I'm featuring 10 wearable fashion trends that a back this year and set to be bigger than ever. I'm hoping and guessing you may already own a number of these trends so just in case you were thinking about letting go of these pieces well perhaps think again! I'm really trying to shop my own wardrobe more and more these days and I'm also committed to thrifting some of the key 2023 fashion trends instead of paying retail prices. I had so much fun thrifting on my recent trip to LA that it's reinvigorated my passion for not only thrifting but working harder to shop my own closet too. Anyway, today's video is all about giving you wearable options so you can enjoy the clothes you already own a little more or perhaps see a gap in your lineup that you may like to fill. I love that you show so many examples of what you're talking about with street and fashion photos, and I think it would be a great idea if, at the end of each section (where/if it applies) you threw a photo of yourself wearing the trend in there; why not? So, that's a yes on seeing your sequined top and wide leg cargos!

I used to love “What Not to Wear” back in the day. One of the few things that I use to make my outfits is “Color, pattern, texture and shine”. This is how I can incorporate sparkle into an outfit. Low key color with a fun texture or sparkle. It’s fun and helps me use more of what I have.

Just to be positive, since I tend to dress in a French Chic style, I totally approve of menswear looks. Blazers (fitted, please!), nice trousers, good straight or wide-leg jeans, plain t-shirts, button-up shirts in white or blue stripes, mariniers, plain white sneakers, loafers or loafer mules, boots, simple jewelery, a neutral patterned silk scarf, nice wool overcoats and, above all, TRENCH COATS-- these are what I love.

I mixed an old black t with a silver and gold sequin logo with 5 yr old chunky cream cords ..20 year old tan leather jacket and new tan lug sole loafers ...looked good! Not my normal style ...so now I am going to find other tops..normally reserved for christmas and see what i can do....Great video ..fantastic ideas ..as we can all get creative with clothes we own. I have updated my footwear and handbags recently and that's helped a lot too.

Yes, please show us your sparkle and cargo denim outfit! Love that idea! In general I’d love to see more of your own styling of these trends. Shacket looks great! I prefer the look where it’s work open over a base layer. Haven’t got one myself yet because I kept thinking it would be a short-lived trend. Nope!

I live in the mountains so a shacket (or two or three) is immensely practical and can be stylish if done well. I like the green color on yours!

I think the shacket looks good on you! I also still have my maxi low rise jean skirt and cargo's from the 90's, love when that works out! I even have my original steel toe Doc Martin's from the 90's! The positives of being older. :)

I do like the shacket you’re wearing bc of the color and bolder plaid. Very cozy looking. I just bought a pair of chunky knee high leather boots I’ve had my eye on since last year and was hoping you might show them. Glad the leather pants are still here and I’ve been considering the chunky loafers but wasn’t sure what I would wear with them. No shorts or minis for me. Thank you for these updates.

I like you're shacket, looks cozy and green is my favorite color. I don't have any myself, but my daughter has one that a borrow occasionally, I wear it as a jacket because it fits over some of my bulkier hoodies. I just ordered a pair of cargo jeans that I said I was not into, but trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit when it comes to fashion, can't wait to see what I think when they arrive. I'm also on the hunt for a denim maxi skirt, I think it would look good on me in the warmer months with a fitted tank and some sneakers. Love sequins, can't wait to see your new top styled.

If you have the energy. Use seam ripper to rip out inseam in your chosen jean. Go to thrift and buy cheap denim that matches your jean. Lie jean flat. Pin extra denim into front/back. I have a pair I started years ago. Maybe some day I can finish them bc I do love the look.

I love shackets, chunky loafers and oversized blazers. I basically love anything that is structured. I don't do floppy and floaty! I also love the patch pockets on shackets. For some reason I absolutely love a patch pocket. I especially love the 70s style wide leg or flares jeans with the patch pockets on the front. I'll pass on the maxi skirts. They look really difficult to walk in. And I really struggle to get shoes as I have big feet - size Uk8.5 Eur 42.5 so I've never got the right shoes to go with an outfit. It always seems harder to find shoes to go with a skirt or a dress than it does for jeans and trousers.

Thankyou for showing so many examples in the street style trends, it gives me so many ideas. I'm starting to like the bomber jacket look from your pictures. I won't be wearing shackets I think they look good on taller women and I'm not one. I love mens wear blazers that aren't too oversized. (I hope you had someone with you in the car you were driving!! I'm hopping on the jean maxi skirt .... It's funny, I never used to like longer skirts.. I just thought it was too much volume on my petite frame .. but idk.. I'm older and always cold.. so I like my legs covered.. not sure if it's the most flattering look.. but I do prefer skirts and dresses to pants . And I've thrifted a few so why not .. I have leather skirts and jackets but I live in Az... I honestly don't realistically get alot of wear out of these pieces.. I recently realized I like lighter weight sort of snuggly softer knits for winter as opposed to heavy cold leather so I think I'm going to let my leather go....

Love the shacket! Suits you. I am short and find that they overwhelm my frame. Denim maxis are cool. Look great w/ boots. Men's wear is a reason to go thrifting. Faux leather leggings look great on all shapes and sizes and are easy to style. Kelly green is such a great colour but I just can't seem to get the hang of how to style it.

Many of these styles have have always worn. I don't wear blazers since I no longer work in corporate. Oversized blazers I don't care for. I would love to see your sequined outfit. I have a sequined t-shirt I wear often with jeans or wide Leg pants. Love the green sachet (just hate the name a d so does my autocorrect 🤣)

I agree. I'd rather wear a jean jacket with a floaty skirt than a floaty top with a denim skirt. Not that it's a bad look. It just doesn't seem as practical. Denim skirts don't flow and might be hard to sit in with any modesty or ease, with that slit.

Thumbs up on the shacket, like color and it looks so warm. Bomber are just downright sporty, and I really like the vibe. I just got a white leather one for a total of $20 from second hand online site, it kind of varsity style and it trim with black rib knit. I just thrifted another maxi all snap front denim skirt but it too long for me, I going to see if I can just pull it up higher. In the blazer, the fitted and crop blazers are seeping back and I already had those things because "everything old is new again". I like my feet so have no problem with them being on display, I got 2 pair of jelly shoes but they are more what I would wear around the pool and I have a purple translucent rain hood jacket. Sporting events here are requiring the clear bags to allow admission to stadium or a very small purse. So feminine stuff all on display. That good that metallics are coming into the day, to shine bright like a diamond, just hope it does not blind someone while driving, it might get outlawed during the day. Of course we want to see you styling your shimmery top. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the days to come.

Hi Leonie. I don't find Shackets or bomber jackets easier to wear as they hide/round up my shape. I did just add a black cargo pants to my wardrobe. Jury is out whether I will keep it.

Thanks for the video and sharing the trends. I'd love to see these trends and styles on older women and women with more feminine "fluff". Many of these styles won't translate as well to those of us who aren't stick-thin.

I remember these transparent shoes as torture devices. They were really trendy around 2004, I want to say, and never have gotten chafing and blisters like that. Maybe because they aren't breathable?

I can’t wait for classic-fit blazers to become more available, I refused to buy a single oversized one and got discouraged by all the polyester linings in the blazers that I was seeing, usually with a poly shell, too, double trouble. I just got the most beautiful khaki green one, The Expedition Blazer, from Banana Republic. It’s wool lined with breathable rayon, perfect and has a classic tailored, waisted but not tight, fit (I sized up one size to accommodate a sweater, over a shirt or turtleneck). It has the look of a Prince of Wales style or safari jacket, it’s very flattering and emphasizes the female form. It’s warm enough to wear as outerwear in my climate, too. I even saved a little money in a sale, but I expect they went fast at that price. I’m so happy to see at least this one brand making the high quality clothing that was standard in my youth.

I visited Banana Republic a few times when I was in the States recently and the quality was fabulous!

Yes i would like to see you in that outfit....You should model some of the latest trends yourself.... So we get more of an idea of how they look.

I definitely do that sometimes but I don't own all of the pieces and don't like to over consume so it gets a little tricky but I will try to do that more often thanks x
