The sad thing about the sleeper hold is that irl it’s a DEADLY move!!! Huge dudes can be put out in seconds and it’s treated as some transition hold

Jahsiah Bowie it’s technical name is The Dragon Sleeper, and easily yet definitely one of the most deadliest moves that can be hit.

@GBProductions84 I think people downplay how big ziggler is though. Realistically if a man of dolphs size were to do that on a person it would take them out. The tv makes him look smaller I guess

I think I'm the only person on planet earth who actually loved Wasteland. I never understood the complaints against it looking ineffective. The opponent is falling from the same height they do for a chokeslam, Attitude Adjustment, or however many other moves, and they're being whipped from their appendages nonetheless.

Brian Edwards no, his move before the “F-U/Attitude Adjustment” was called the “Protoplex” which was a reverse spinning slam. In his rivalry with Brock Lesnar he did a modified fireman’s carry and in a promo called it the F-U and the rest is history!

John cena never debuted in wwe as the prototype, that name was obsolete when he debuted, but in the indies he was in je was called prototype and used the protoplex which i believe was just modified brainbuster

and kidman in WCW switching from the shooting star press to the kid buster.. basicly the killswitch in hind sight, i think its quite difficult to find a wrestler who hasn't switched. i mean, shawn michaels was using a top rope cross body when he first broke away from the rockers and towards the end of that team before switching to a super kick.

Well the Sweet Chin Music wasn’t originally Shawn Michaels finisher in the beginning either. The super-kick was actually a transition into his actual finisher, a teardrop suplex, but eventually evolved into his finisher instead. You can also include William Regal there as well as he started out using the Regal Cutter, wrapping a chap’s arm around their neck into a reverse cutter, before switching to the Power Of The Punch in WWE.

You know what's ironic about the sleeper. You say no one wanted to lose to it because it looks stupid but yet the rear naked choke "for realzee" is one of the most effective and dangerous submission hold on the planet... see MMA.

I think its more about how Ziggler did it. He never looked like he had it locked in and with people walking around with him on their backs rather then being taken down like with the rear naked choke or even planting his feet and keeping control like piper used to it didn't look like he knew what he was doing.

Moxley changed it a few times. His 1st change was a elevated double underhook ddt, then that move evolved into more of a double underhook brain buster..I think it started out as everyone taking the move kept one uping eachother, until it jus became the norm to take the paradimn shift brainbuster style as opposed to elevated ddt style.

Biker Taker was indeed when I started watching and boy oh boy were he and Kane my favourites! Still remember I felt bad when the Power Trip were beating them up. Last Ride was amazing as well, pity nowadays he can't do it to someone bigger than Ricochet, but hey we got them memories!

When Braun first debuted as part of the Wyatt family, he had a sideways "Cobra Clutch" type hold that made people pass out in seconds. That changed to the power bomb quickly

The Pele kick was more of a set up. Outside of the Style's Clash, his other finish in TNA was the Spiral Tap. Shame he won't break that move out in big matches.

I think I remember Kane switching to a reverse DDT for a while which was awful and also a falling powerbomb for a while which was great, but he couldn't pull it off on the larger guys so he went back to the classic chokeslam
