Goldberg should've been #1 easily. Vince McMahon valued him very highly and was willing to pay 7 figure sums for each solitary appearance. Goldberg has always been a very stiff wrestler, poor mic skills and the same gimmick throughout his career.

Nash was one of my favs until I met him and seeing this video reminded me of a meet and greet with him at an Indy show was a 3 to 5 thousand seat show and he was bragging about making a easy 100 grand just for showing up and taking pics with fans didn't even take a bump!

I believe it's grossly unfair to say Brett Hart was purely in it for the money.

Don't blame Nash for getting the money You only have so much time to produce and if WCW was going to keep throwing money around 🤑

How many regular people work a job for the money and not for the passion of what we do? At the end of the day wrestling is still a job/career for these guys & gals.

If wrestling would have offered benefits, health plans, money may have been the main reason to wrestle, wrestlers get no paid holiday, sick days, personal time, if a wrestler wants time off, they don't get paid unless they work, why anyone would decide to be a wrestled is a wonder

It’s not necessarily a bad thing for guys to be in it for the money if they still take it seriously and are good at it. When it’s everyone’s passion, you get a bunch of marks running the show….like AEW and every Indy out there.

Many people said that they were pissed at Brett - because he only wanted like 500k or so. Scott hall said it made everyone else get paid less "because vince was like. Wellx bret only wants..." bret had no love of the money. It was a very happy happenstance

To put Bret on this list is stupid, Bret told Vince he would stay for less and Vince said go…this is crazy

Are we gonna leave out the detail where Bret Hart initially agreed to stay with WWF, but Vince backed out of the deal later on and basically causing Bret to have to accept the WCW deal?
@Edwards-Videos

6:46 Vince was going to pull out of his LEGAL contract with Bret Hart and even told Bret to sign with WCW as he (Vince) couldn't afford to pay Bret. It wasn't Bret's fault that he went to WCW - he wanted to stay in WWF.
