What is the root cause of such horrific diabolical violence? SIN and satan!!! America is a land of death. Starting in the womb. They wonder why so much violence. Evil people kill people. Why do evil people exist? Why does the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy keep showing up at school's? GOD HASN'T been welcomed in schools in years. Look at the evil wicked activist are teaching these kids.. Most public schools are full of the devils agenda. Satanic! God says when you walk contrary to me. I'll walk contrary to you. God is not mocked you reap what you sow. When they use to pray and read bible in 60s. These type of evil things weren't happening. America is full of evil virulent people because of evil leaders like Joe biden. An anti God pusher of evil ideologies and agenda. Jesus is America's first last and only hope.. I'm twenty-five and still have that same worry. I remember being in school, worried about something like Columbine or Sandy Hook happening to my classmates. But now I'm worried about potentially bringing a kid into this world, only to lose them. Or for them to lose their peers and grow up traumatized as a result. We shouldn't have to fear such things. This is a uniquely American problem. Canadian students, teachers, and parents don't have to worry about this. Even if I run away and move somewhere safe, though, the problem will still persist here so long as things stay the same.

I agree. That is true. It's interesting that many people think traumatic experiences make people cry frantically or scream loudly. That can't be furthest from the truth. This kid shows you what a real trauma does to a human being - it makes you extremely calm and even smiling because all your senses are heightened in order to survive. Too much crying and emotion would lower your chances of survival. This boy's emotion is shut down. He can't feel it because it is too overwhelming and painful. Human body protects itself by shutting feelings down. My two cents of interpretations. trauma survivors are welcome to comments

Why do these things only happen so often in the US? As a German, I’ve never had to do a gun drill at school and yet we still have guns and gun ranges in Germany. It’s just not as unregulated as in the US. I am a member of a gun club myself. There are certain requirements to own a gun: 1. Be a member of a local gun club for at least a year and show up for training either once a month or 18 times per year. Take a weekend class on firearms and pass a test. There is much more training if you want to become a hunter (takes about four weeks of full time training or a year till half a year of part time classes) 2. Magazine size is limited to 10(+1) no matter what type of gun you use 3. Open carry doesn’t exist and licenses for concealed carry are rarely given out 4. You have to fulfill certain requirements when storing your firearms such as having a safe etc.

I remember being 10 yrs. old and what my thoughts were at that time, since my Dad died 2 days before my 11th b/d. The big difference is that we had not been introduced to gun violence in schools yet (1953-54), thru TV. I understood about the Korean War and it scared me terribly. My Dad read the newspaper and said, "Here we go again!"... Then, He died at 47, in Sept. 1954, 2 days before my 11th birthday... a very terrible time for me and the family...

I was a Professinnal Firefighter for 30 years, and every time I encountered Dead bodies, I was feeling bad for a couple of days, On one event, we , had been searching for a mother and her two young children 2 y.o. and a 2months baby, , when we found them, we tried our best immediatly to perform CPR on all of them, but, it was too late, despite our sustained efforts to bring them back to life, we all felt such a pain , some of us, firefighters, had kids of the same age, we all cried silently inside of ourself, having flasbacks in memory that lasted for several months, before it slowly faded away. this one event I consider the worst possible traumatizing, even, for us, who were used to deal with such events. I feel the Pain for the surviving kids, they will have to carry this burden for life.
