Once played this map, put my ray gun in pap, doors closed, never saw it again

It’s the only map that showed the vast devastation after moon. You look out and see all the chunks of earth in and falling from the atmosphere and under it a huge dead city

Honestly, the keys should just be drops in this map rather than being so limited and hidden where they are! Would be pretty neat idk

Die rise is so well designed. When you spawn in, theres a hundred choices of where to go. Go to the roofs, get the an-94, go to the box, make the sliquifier, do whatever. It’s so well made

I love the atmosphere on die rise. The empty sweatshops and restaurants all make me feel like I'm somewhere I'm not supposed to be, and the navigation being difficult lends itself to that theme too.

It always felt weird how Treyarch felt the need to nerf the Sliquifier, but the jet gun, turret, and electric trap on transit were never fixed

On PC it's a less problem with building trample steam, since you can basically carry 2 parts at once by pressing F constantly while falling on lower floors

Totally agree with you John, definitely in my top ten favorite maps. One of the only maps that truly changes up how you play zombies. Love the verticality.

Love die rise as a map, but it holds immense sentimental value to me. I was in 6th grade when the map came out and I faked a sick and stayed up all night playing it with randoms. We got like 13th in the world and that shit was SOOOOO cool to me at the time. Still friends with those 3 guys too.

BO2 had the best zombies maps, the perfect combination between the build your own weapons and equipment mechanics and classic zombies. The new maps in bo3 and bo4 just take too much prior knowledge and set up to be fun, and are relying too heavily on the storyline. I liked when you didnt have to care about the story of each map to enjoy it, now it's just forced down your throat.

You know what, actual props to you for sticking to Call of Duty zombies content, a lot of channels have changed topics, even therelaxing end stopped doing zombies but the fact that youve stuck with it shows real dedication, and i commend that

It's not my favorite map, but I do like Die Rise. Up until BO3 came out I'd mainly play Die Rise, and Origins on BO2.

I remember waking up for school and it was snowing. So I hopped on bo2 and played so much Die Rise, probably one my favorite maps of all time too.

Honestly, Die Rise is my favourite Treyarch map. It felt so different and unique. Can't wait to finally get back bo2 so I can play the map again!

Lol this has always been one of my favorites. Usually if I have to choose a bo2 map to go back and play it's nuketown zombies or die rise, except, usually when I'm going back to play bo2 zombies it's with my friends and all they want to play is origins :/

One little feature I found cool on Die Rise, is that the zombies in Soldier uniforms are actually harder to kill than regular civilian zombies on round one.

Even though Die Rise has never been one of my favorite maps, I would like to see Treyarch really change up the way maps play in the future rather than their design being basically the same for every map.

I think Tranzit and Die Rise would work alot better in Black ops 4. There a few elixer that would benefit alot in both of these maps like Anywhere but here and Anywhere but there (the one that lets you spawn near down players) and that other elixer that lets you spawn your teammates during the round. The bulidable would be fixed now that we have to get all the parts in order to use work benches, i dont know how this would effect Buried cause you can have Leroy go up to the work benches and he would just gather all the parts at once to the buildable benches. Tranzit buildable would work pretty nicely too there's like four or five buildable spots on Tranzit (being turbine, Shield, Turret, Jet gun and the Pack a Punch.) Theres another problem with remastering these 3 maps is the main easter eggs, cause all 3 of them had 2 sided easter eggs and you couldn't even solo them either. If i had to guess is that they may end up being remakes, just like the Classified and possibly like Blood of the dead. Or they would have to make it be the 1 side easter egg that is canon to the timeline which is Maxis side. Maybe this is one of the reasons why we didn't get these remastered is because of the main easter eggs in those 3 maps.

I didn't know it was this serious. I haven't played COD in years but I always found this map to be kind of fun when games were life.

I never really played die rise that much, but I always loved how creative all of the victis maps were especially die rise with its vertically and how the rooms are offset and sometimes upside down. These maps would be so good in the cold war engine.

I used the liquifier to slip randoms off the edge of the map. 11/9 Awesome map

Strategy that 12 year old me ABUSED on Die Rise- if you drop and pick-up parts, you can slowly but surely, drag them over to the edge, and ever so slightly by continuing to move, you could get parts to fall down to the level below, sometimes even both levels. Takes in total about 30 seconds once you've mastered the system, and is easy with one zombie left one round one.

Die rise is my favourite map, it’s a different challenge and it adds new levels of gameplay ( no pun intended) with the skyscrapers. who’s who is definitely the most underrated perk, it’s unlimited quick revives without the quick and it adds challenge to be fair. Also, the map in my opinion looks beautiful Ps: just juggle the parts

I swear people only hate on this map because there's an actual learning curve on it. You have to actually master the map in order to play it to it's full potential. Unfortunately because of the outcry of these noobs we will never get a map like Die Rise again.

Die Rise was great Big Map full of vertical traveling, and it had a fair difficulty loved the wonder weapon aswell and lets not forget they added the weapons fridge

I like die rise. The map was SO unique it its time in 2013. I played it on day 1 when it released and I really do love it. It’s fun, it’s trolly and it’s just unique. I remember when Treyarch released the trailer for dlc pack 1 show casing die rise and they were talking about that down fall elevator near the galvaknuckles or whatever it’s called. Ahhh, memories. Also, the wonder weapon 10/10. The atmosphere of skyscrapers is a really good place. Also, that upside down room near the AN-94, amazing place

4:15 this is the exact reason why i hate die rise. you don't get to control where you go, the map does. the times where you can't backtrack make traversing the map extremely annoying and tedious

Late to this video, but you can quickly build the tramplesteam by dragging the parts over to that ledge and letting them all fall below. Jump down and keep swapping out parts until they are all on the floor next to the B23R.

Honestly, if you didn’t need keys to call elevators, this map would be one of the best

Black ops 2 had the best zombies maps.

*The trample steam can be built in a minute if you do it right.* Just move a little bit and swap parts, and you can move multiple parts at once. Using this, you can drop the parts off the edge, dropping them down a floor or two. After you get them all into the trample steam room, you can drop down yourself, floor by floor, and then put all the parts on at once.

If you look at bo4 maps you will realize there is no bad zombies map from the past every map was awesome

A tip for die rise. You can keep picking up parts and moving them and if you go down the stairs and drop the one floor while swapping parts as fast as you can, you can practically carry 2 pieces down at a time so I never really see the tramplesteam as a problem. I usually get it done real quick. Just a tip for you guys. Just keep swapping parts while you move and it will bring both as you move

The trample steam was so easy to build, if you use the constant part swap trick you can pull two parts down to the build area at once and only have to take the elevator once rather than three times.

Finally some love for one of the best maps. It just SUCKS so much they trolled us with phd.

Building the tramplesteam is the only thing I can't get past about Die Rise. The jumps and the goo slips from the Sliquifier are fine by me. Building the tramplesteam kills me. If I mess up and die, I will play Town instead, just so I don't have to rebuild that contraption.

I really want die rise because its vertical and looks really good i cant wait to get it (yes i bought black ops 2 in 2023 and have NO regrets)

#remasterdierise I think Die Rise is a fairly good map, and it is fun at times.

Honestly BO2 is the game where I felt zombies was starting to lack the qualities I love in a zombies map. The only one I really enjoyed was Mob but even then the way you get to pack a punch was more of a chore than it was fun.

Shared inventory, being able to pick up multiple pieces, and being able to calll the elevator would all be good changes.

I only put my black ops 2 disc in to play Die Rise. And did you know about the camping glitch in the Remington room on the elevator? Epic vid bro

I think the thing they should of done with die rise to make the map flow better and not be such a pain to do stuff would be make it so you have the key effect on you at all times as a passive ability so you can move elevator when you need them without having to hold a key. This would made the wait less and make you feel like you can do something about it. just this small change i honestly think would be enough to make it a loved map.

The amount of times I have died because of mistaking a drop to a level below... or frustratingly died from dropping on the one little bit of floor that isnt covered with a bed!

You build the Tramplesteam the slow way. You can walk the parts to the edge near where you jump down by the B23R. You just hover over each part and then hold X as you slowly walk forward and you will switch from one part to the other as you walk. In this way you can get all the parts down to that lower level before you drop down and it makes building the Tramplesteam take less than 2 minutes.

Nah it's worse than Tranzit. The RNG with elevators is worse than thr RNG with the Teleporters on Tranzit.

Super easy to build the trample-steam if you swap parts while moving at a slow enough pace. You basically juggle the two parts and can carry them to the ledge where you fall to the building table. Stand on the edge and swap parts it will fall, and you can do this with all the parts and pick up the last one and jump down. Takes 2-3 minutes to build right at the very beginning using this very easy method

OH MY GOD! I PLAYED DIE RISE WITH MY FRIEND LITERALLY LAST NIGHT! The timing is impeccable!

I just like the environment a lot, it just has a lovely aesthetic. Most often the best maps have good aesthetics and theme (Origins, Mob, Kino).

This map is like you either love it or hate it, there's no in-between

You can swap the trample steam parts on the ground while walking and building it takes less than a minute. Die Rise is one of my fav maps of all time and I have so many memories on it. Cool to see someone else liking the map as well :)

okay okay last comment, when you start the game you get points from the round 1 zombies and leave one, you then hop into the drop down elevator and get points from your bank and your AN from the fridge, you then turn on the power build the sliquifier and buy your perks on the way up then you can go back up to spawn by opening the elevator to your left and then you can drop all 3 tramplesteam parts down at once.

Die rise is the type of map you ask to prom when the other maps get asked immediately and you try to hide it from your friends 😂

All of my best clutch moments and tight space plays were on and learned from this map...put my skill way way up and i will never forget it...my top 3

I used to despise Die Rise years ago when it originally came out and Black Ops 2 was in its prime. The map was confusing and dangerous, the layout was frustrating and so were the map's hazards and functionality. It's grown on me over the years and now I actually really enjoy it for what it is, the challenge brought by some of the problems it had actually made it pretty fun after years of experience playing Zombies.

I feel like an idiot because I just now realized after like 7 years that it's called "Die Rise" as a pun on "High Rise"...

The Who’s who chant gets me going
