Hi. I had very thick very long hair. I let it grow, part for family tradition and part- because I studied the King James V. Bible- and beleive women are supposed to grow their hair long. Well, since my hair is of real curly type; and in layers- as it got long I found that some how it slid into tangles- my tupe breaks easy. In time, as it got almost to my knees. It also tangled more. Even if I braided it and kept it braided. When I took out the braids, there were bad tangles. In time- so much of it had broken off I looked more like a torn up birds nest. It took 3 or 4 hours for all the thick hair to dry. I did not use blow dryers because they burned the hair and I didn't like the loud noise. I went 1st to pixie then fade and now I am almost buzzcut length. I love my new look. So, you make you happy- many people where I am are so nosy and bossy- everyone tried to tell me what to do about my bald cut- especially many Black women- then I put on makeup then some Black women even tried to tell me what shade to use. Ohhh- you put on red? Oh wow. I look multi racial. Asian Middle Eastern. My hair is very African. I was so happy the Black women liked my bald look but I felt they went too far telling me what lipstick they liked. Thank you.
