Day 1 of Dallas card show. We're so back. I was there for 5 minutes when this $100,000 Victor Wembanyama GOLD was walked up to us at the Dallas Card Show. I think its a $50-75k card all day. This is one of my favorite sports card shows of the year

I do not even follow basketball. But I know who Wemby is. Personally, I think it would’ve been a bad investment to buy that card. Everyone builds up certain players and keeps building them up in their cards, get real pricey, and then they bomb out in. the end. That happens all the time in baseball. I still really enjoyed the video. Saw some really really cool cards. Thanks for sharing!

Wembys value is gonna drop drastically eventually its a matter of time. He still may be one of the top players to buy in the NBA but no way does his value stay and maintain at this level.

So I know absolutely nothing about Wemby or basketball but I’ve heard a lot a lot about Wemby. I feel like with any sport/“generational talent” that no matter their performance the cards will go down over time. I believe the same thing happened with Luka. He’s still such a beast but I remember seeing his cards sell for crazy prices. It seems like Wemby is the real deal but I think it’s inevitable that they will go down at least a bit. I collect football and it seems to happen to everyone there to. Just my opinion, I know nothing about basketball 😂

Selling that is going to be such a pain in the ass without it being slabbed. Even if it gets an 8, at least people have peace of mind that they aren't about to get cooked.

wemby is generational ' he is dominant both ways. the def POY ranking includes min/game which wemby had his minutes capped by POPS if you equate that ratio he has better def rating than Rudy Gobert. finally all the def hard stats way higher than Gobert. if you get Wemby a true point gaurd these better passes will result in fouls every trip... the gold kaboom i think 50k only because the whole sets condition sensitive

Wemby has all of the skills to be the most dominant player ever on both ends of the floor. The RISKY part in my opinion is health. He's shown that he has been able to avoid injuries, but it's still very risky considering hes 7' 4". If he's able to stay healthy throughout his career, the sky is the limit!!

It's like this a player gets all this hype so his value goes crazy he has a good year but bad team I feel in order for that players value to stay or keep rising they have to be on least a completive team or it's the all star on the d 2 or 3 team 👀

So the rookie cards including wemby are over priced in my opinion but if the market countinues and people buy it’s only going to go up but when you buy a card you hope he succeeds. For that card maybe 40-60k if you can spare the money but definitely diversify and not put all your eggs in one basket

I just can't wait to see where this all goes in this hobby. Someone's going to be left holding the bag on a piece of paper with bo auto that people claim IA worth 100k. When wembys knees are trash in 4 years people will leave the card hobby and never come back
