I'm the first to admit that I'm a little bit OCD when it comes to maintenance - like knowing the Hilux has fresh oil, clean filters and is generally up to scratch. As I've mentioned before, we don't really plan our trips - knowing the truck is ready to go at a moment's notice helps make our spontaneous trips so much easier!
In this video I run through my quick check after each day on a trip and then jump into freshening everything up!

Great vid. Have you serviced the EGR yet?

Cheers man! I pulled the intercooler and throttle body off the other week to have a look, there wasn't too much build up on the valve itself. Will be doing a full clean next time I drop the coolant though (good old water cooled EGR)

Hey man what sort of front recovery points have you got on it? Did the bullbar brackets need adjusting to fit them on?
@OverlandNZTV

Hey! They're the MCC recovery points - spent _ages_ looking at all the different options as I really didn't want to modify anything. The MCC ones replace the chassis to bar bracket thing. If you flick me a message on Instagram (@overlandnd) and I'll send you a couple of photos 👍

hold up a second mate, how often do you change your oil and filters tho? I know the title says 100K service. but i hope you dont keep them in for that long? lol when i do an oil change i cnhage my fuel filter one time since they so cheap. i chnage my oil every 5000miles and i use my trusted Mobile1 5w40. SOmethign to help you out changing that oil filter next time mate, remove the fill cap to the engine and remove the dip stick when draing the oil. once the oil is drained, then remove the oil filter it helps drain the oil better so you don't have too much of a mess, and when you installing the new oil filter, rub some new oil around the rubber seal on the oil filter to help it come off easier the next oil change.

No way! 😂 You're 100% correct though, forgot to mention that - I change oil + filters every 10,000kms (at most, will do it sooner if we have a big trip coming up and we're close). Oil had fully drained out when I took the filter out - will have to try removing the dipstick next time, might remove more of the air eh!
