We use to have to take our grandmother there every year to see the geese. She loved them and it was a fun day for all of us. Thank you for the memories.

Kind Thanks WW! I believe being there at this time is one of the true and beautiful gift we can experience in this life. I've seen both Snow Geese and Tundra Swans flying over these woods in Southern Lanc. Co. and think, heading to Middlecreek or perhaps the Susquehanna. I've seen massive flocks at both places over the years. Peace and Joy of Spirit and our Beautiful Earth Mother! DaveyJO

My wife and I went on Tuesday 3/9 - It was amazing! I have never seen so many geese, particularly snow geese, at one time before. My daughter lives in East Hempfield, and says they fly right over her house every day.

I have never seen so many snow geese! Gives me hope for their future.
@bdickinson67513 жыл бұрын
Fact of the matter is, they are a detriment to their (as well as other species in some cases) own future. They have a habit of uprooting the plants they feed on, causing extreme evironmental damage. There is a very long, and liberal harvest, hunting season on them in order to control their vast numbers. That being said, this is quite a spectacular sight to behold in person..
