Hello! I love your videos! They are really useful for me. I work in customer service. I always go to potential customers with the phrase : Good day! How can I help you today? Can I say : добрий день! Як вам потрібна допомога сьогодні? Or is there a more usual formulation? I have more and more Ukrainian customers, and I want them to feel welcomed and at ease when they come to see me. Thank you!

It's surprising how much closer to French language Ukrainian is compared to English. Чим я можу вам сьогодні допомогти? Translate in French exactly by "Comment je peut vous aujourd'hui aider? The only difference is the world order. In French we would say "Comment je peut vous aider AUJOURD'HUI ? Wich is : "чим я можу вам допомогти СЬОГОДНІ? in English, it would be "чим можу я допомогти вам сьогодні? How can I help you today? Sorry to bother you with French. It helps me a lot and, by the way, my hobby is linguistics... I love to compare languages! By the way, I have a friend named Zubair, who is Afghan by birth, he speaks Farsi (Persian) Hindi-Ourdou, (The official language of India and Pakistan, depending of wich side of the border you live in...) English and French. You would be surprised of the similarities between Slavic and Persians languages there are. (With that I'm assuming you know that the Scythians spoked an Iranic (persian) language) with that I wish you a very quiet and peaceful day!

You can alter the playback speed on youtube to 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5 and 2x speed.
