So this game is basically Japanese companies in a nutshell (get severely severely punished if you fail to do as much as they want or if you do succeed you’ll just get more work as a “reward”)

Not quite. It's more reminiscent of the quotas from top down collective command economies like in the Soviet Union or China. The key difference is you have a timeframe to meet the quota and the more you succeed the higher the quota gets.

@@1ProAssassin Bro its literally Amazon, where their workers have to pee into bottles bc if they stop then the company (lmao) will punish them. Not spacing them (yet) but by firing them normally. Plus, the quota increasing sounds like capitalism where every year you need more profit because if you don't then shareholders will come in and replace you with someone more ruthless.

I don't think he mentioned that according to lore all communications from the company are coming from beyond the solar system. So in my opinion the beast was not man-made and is some sort of alien eldritch god that is controlling the company. Also while some monsters are speculated to be bio weapons, others don't have any information on them available due to having never been captured (or in case of the ghost-never documented at all).

Biggest twist breaks into the facility n reveals that we are the ones on the inside of the beast n the scream that are assumed to be coming from what we think is the beast but probably a part of its insides is actually screams coming from the outside of it

8:40 nah. The company came about on the year or a few years before the sigard logs were added. Assuming matpat is right, the company who made the ship, the computers operating system and the poster is a different named company, not the company. So to expand about 100 years after siguards logs, a company called Haldon Electronics rolled around. They're the company that made the current versions of the tech we use (which is presumably why siguards stuff is hard coded into the computer and why we can't edit it like Desmond did) I assume when Haldon Electronics shut down marks when the local remnants of humanity became scarce if not pretty much completely wiped out.

There are also some minor diversions from this theory such as the monster not being man made but being the one controlling the company (or being at least partially the company itself) and the drill being used the enter the company building that would then be an endgame dungeon where your goal is for the first time something other than collecting scrap (and tbh this does make more sense gameplay-wise)

I'm very curious if matpats just gonna repeat what I've already heard other channels say better in their own theory videos, actually get the pre-established lore wrong, or just speculate on stuff we have no way of knowing about with no real evidence, and just guesswork (like his digital circus theory's). So MatPat basically used a really roundabout way to come to the same conclusion as everyone else, where he throws in a bunch of random theory bits, then there's the actual lore, followed by more random stuff to try to support his theory. So essentially he's used the actual lore of the game to try to support his own theory for which there's not really much evidence for. And I think the thing that proves MatPat is on the wrong track is the fact that The company is not the same as the original company. The original company is Haldon Electronics, as we see on the loading screen.
