📺 It is not for nothing that the army and elite athletes use Burpees in their exercises. One simple calisthenics movement tests both your strength and your endurance. Tayo accomplished his challenge of doing 100 Burpees a day for 30 days.It was a major success for him, beating time and exceeding his own fitness limits.
Why Burpees?
- They fatigue your muscles and lungs faster than any movement out there, but you can make yours easy and super fast
- They build character and perseverance
- They quickly improve strength and conditioning
- No equipment and less space is needed

This is the motivation and inspiration i needed. Im not used to burpees so i should start slow. Maybe 50 burpees a day
@Pushment
@Pushment 10 ай бұрын
Cool, did you start? You should start slowly but with consistent pace. Just keep in mind, the last Burpees always need to be clean. Once they get wobbly and out of form, you have reached your max reps or the pace is too high.

Same! I thought the jump at the end had to be included to make it a proper burpee - that's how I was taught to do them at school many moons ago.
@Pushment
@Pushment Жыл бұрын
@@Rai_S82 thanks for sharing. The original Burpee does not even include a push-up. However there are many variations and a jump is indeed increasing the physical effort. I followed Ironwolfs method with a 6 ct Burpee to unload joints an back. After 50-70 Burpees people don’t do the Burpee clean anymore and dynamic loads with jumping can cause serious injuries. It depends on the level of proficiency. I started slowly and it felt right to keep good form:)

Burpees are surprisingly body transformative..as well as cardio fitness boosters! Ive been doing 100 a day for the last 2 weeks...sometimes I do 100 a day all in one go..but more often I either perform 10 every minute on the minute for 10 mins..or just do sets of 10 throughout the day (some fast, some deliberately slow to increase time under tension). I know opinions differ on this, but I add either a little jump at the end of mine or a stretch of the arms overhead. My best effort is 100 in 6' 34"..which amazed me! (I'm 64).

Valid question and it took me a while to actually figure it out. You do it to set a constant pace throughout your routine. You avoid speeding up too much as you always have to implement the move. Yes, definitely! If you want to gain some serious muscles you'll have to add weights into your training, but the right nutrition is also crucial. Maybe you just give it a try and run this training for a while in order to see if it is worth it. Bulking up is probably not possible.

I only avoided added sugar., took care of sufficient. Sriram protein and some whey powder additives. Further no alcohol and 2-3 30 min runs after the set of Burpees per week.

You've gotta JUMP up at the end when you stand. That a complete burpee.
@Pushment
@Pushment 10 ай бұрын
I understand your perspective. While adding a jump at the end of a burpee is a common variation and can make it more challenging, it's essential to recognize that there are different interpretations and variations of burpees. Some include the jump, while others do not. What's most important is performing the version of burpees that aligns with your fitness goals and abilities while maintaining proper form and ensuring your safety during the exercise. There's no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to fitness, so it's essential to find what works best for you.

Do burpees require the push up? Or just the kick vac
@Pushment
@Pushment Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, the very basic burpee has no push-ups incorporated at all. There are many possible ways to do burpees, a little research on the internet will open your way to the burpee;) I tried to follow this burpee with push-up but without a jump in order to train my whole body but avoid too much of dynamic loads onto my joints. This version is called the 6 count burpee🙏

Thank you very much and I do implement the jumps every now and then. However rather like this very controlled repetition as I tend to make more clean reps, especially around the 100.

is it ok to do, say 10 at a time take a few seconds of rest and continue till you get to 100 (for a beginner)
@Pushment
@Pushment Жыл бұрын
Hey Joel, of course it or possible to do that! However I would rather recommend to to the 100 in one set but slowing down your pace to what is needed. It is just a recommendation and if you feel the full set is just too much you can also reduce the reps! Most important is to start and get a feeling for it.

Yeah, very regularly. I started to alternate them and implemented some animal flow elements such as “loaded beast” in order to avoid the stiffness in the routine. Appreciate your comment!

Whats the benefit to punch the belly..
@Pushment
@Pushment Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking. With punching on your belly you contract your muscles. It is just an additional effort for your muscles and most important, it gives you the right pace. Otherwise you tend to rush trough the exercises and you will become exhausted quickly. Very useful technique;)
