Great video - showing no mercy for break-in. Mine's running even better after 5 tanks of fuel and 1 chain sharpening. The chain is surprisingly good - only tightened it once. Keep the videos coming - want to see how far $100 will get us.

Looks like you got a good one! I'm interested in seeing a follow-up video; maybe where you adjust the chain brake, and any other checks & adjustments that you would normally make with a new saw. And I'm also curious to hear how the bar oiler did.

I m a female in Georgia and grew up in the wood/logging-sawmill endustry and now my daughter and her arborist husband own the multiple companies from tree services to sawmills and I already was impressed with many items from china so I’m very happy to have found this and will pass along the info. I’m the piddler. .. I take their scraps and piddle out something …always piddling!

I bought a 52cc Chinese saw with a 22 inch bar in May 2018 to slab cut a 21 inch diameter by 6 foot ash log. The saw worked great and made surprisingly strait cuts with out a chainsaw mill, and I have 6 slabs of ash drying in the shed to prove it.

It does appear to be a strong running lil dude. Pretty sure you'll figure out the chain brake issue too. What I am discovering with these Chinese saws is that they have minor fixable issues sometimes but always seem to run well. I will admit the 105cc 070 clone I bought came with a junk chain, but once I got the new milling chain it worked well. Good video man.

Here in Illinois, we get extreme cold and lots of snow. There is nothing like the sound of the quiet, calm snowy morning, watching deer in their natural habitat....... as I fire up a chainsaw! Haha. (A nice V8 roar over the snow sounds great, too!)

I’m looking at one to buy on eBay, there’s ones sold saying “22 inch bar and 62cc and there’s another one of the same brand which is 58cc and for diffrent price, are they the same engine size you think?

Hey that's the very same chainsaw that i bought a few years ago at sears. Or at least it looks very very similar, except mines an 18" with a 46cc engine, instead of 22", and it says craftsman. Anyways cool videos, with lots of really good information, so thank you for making them!!

I've got a $119 60 cc 20" Chinese chainsaw. Out preforms echo, that's for sure and it's $300 cheaper 1 pull start. I've cut a chord of oak and 2 pine

Liked this video about the Chinese chainsaw. I recently bought a Huyosen with an 18"bar from Amazon and liked it for the first 10 minutes until the chain brake started kicking on all the time without letting me saw for even 5 seconds. I am returning it and taking a chance that the replacement will not be defective. As far as I can tell, it does not have an adjustment. Did you ever get around to fixing the problem with the one you demonstrated? Thanks

i just bought a chinese chain saw and it cost £55.99 GBP/ $70.97 USD and the one i got is a 58cc 20 inch bar and it took 3 days to get to me in liverpool uk and ordered at weekend to and it was from ebay, if mine is anything like this one then ill be very happy with how it performs and more so with the little extra power it got over your saw, great vid to on these saws, thanks for the vid

Could you do a video on rebuilding this saw? I have a very similar saw I paid £20 for it but struggling to get it started. It has spark and compression but won’t fire :(

I have 3 of those 45cc chinese chainsaws.i bougt one in 2015 it's stiLL works Like a champ with changed spark pLug(NGK),changed oiL&fueL fiLters(stihL ones now),stihL RS chain with smaLLer bar..one i keep for the spare parts..other two are get used a Lot😊👌

You should review the Parker 62cc 20 inch bar, Oregon make a chain for it .325 1.5mm 76 DL. I think in the states it might be branded as a timber pro I bought the Parker recently and out of the box it kicked 2 pull on the choke and started first pull after i put the choke off no primer, ive never primed the saw! Now it kicks now first pull on the choke and starts half a pull after the choke is off! I've never adjusted it and everything works perfectly and it's amazingly balanced!!

I'm about to buy the parker same as the one your talking about, I have used one from new a few years ago and i used it for a fair amount of constant hours a day and it never missed a beat😁😁😁

I saw the 45cc/20" bar China saws on Ebay for $57 last week. Free ship from CA. For $82 you can get a 58cc that uses 40:1 mix. 11/19/19

@@AmericanPiddler I just realized yesterday that it came fitted with a skip tooth chain and not a full comp chain which is odd since the bar is only 16 inches.

@@AmericanPiddler It's okay but I did some plunge cutting in an old stump and it'd dulled it fairly quickly and it is an Oregon chain which are usually pretty good.

Hey my man my chain brake was hitting on one spot on the band. I took my Dremel and worked that little area down. Try it. Hang tight

Got the 45 and the 57...runs very hot but runs well after carb adjustments and my own muffler mod...they need a little bigger saw dogs and keep all the screws tight for awhile they don't really have the quality control we r a custom to...its a cheap saw .I'm a tree guy and have a bad case of new guy disease...help is hard to come by and the new guy can wreck ur saws quick...thats how I ended up try n theses saws...worked thru the cheep saws and have found they work well...had them about 3 months...seem to be fair saws...if u aren't a fair do it urself person don't mess with them...few saw shops will help u

It beats the hell out of the Poulan I got used for my first chainsaw. I didn’t know much and I had a bunch of mature red and white pine to cut. The Poulan I got used for $50 (can’t complain at that price) bogged down leaked bar oil like a sieve and had the air filter clog quickly. Given my budget at that time this would have been a good option. Chinese clones have come a long way. Time for US manufacturing to up its game.

I Haven a voinic 52cc And a Heinner 58cc both chinese i changed the chainsaws with Stihl cutting chainsaws And i cut 4 trucks of wood per year.

I just purchased the same saw 22” 52cc have not got it yet, about a week ago I purchased a similar saw it was advertised as 62cc with a 20” bar, it started right up and runs great, but I don’t think it is actually 62cc, have done a lot of inquiring and think all of these Chinese saws are actually 52cc, let me know what you think.

I'm 3+ year's, into 2 45cc Chinese chain saw's, use "True fuel" n sometimes "SEF", n an E3.12 plug, N cut quite a bit of Oak, red "something Oak", (hey Transplant from Brooklyn NY), Poplar, fallen Pine's on property, (burn the the non pine in wood stove), Bro, I'm happy !! no brake problem's, ,,, past coulpe month's, also starting using a 50cc Poulan PR5020, do same fuel n plug, N she's good so far, ,, learned to sharpen chain's with a" Buffalo bench mount", " dremel," and " Pfred", ( the blue version of Stihl, made in Germany), all good !! used Oregon Chains, Aussie and up start, the original Chinese chain's, little weak, want to get a 58-65 cc Chinese saw next, N eventually an Echo cs590, ,, but dude, them China chain saw's been running !! even Harbor Freight gotten better lately, wanna try the Preditor vertical shaft engine, on My original DR high wheel trimmer, frame n pully's like day got in 90's, but motor locked. dude, for price, how can u loose ??? ( the 2 China saw's are Bluemax, and Yard dog, but both identical, n nice metal on off toggle switch, most China saw's I see, seem have that good switch, like Echo uses !!

I just ordered a 52cc Yamaha chainsaw made in China and i got it cheap. I have read the chainsaw made in China or copy's of the old RedMax chainsaws.

Ok. Update. I used this chainsaw to cut 5 cord of wood with no problems and I love it. It’s a little heavy for me after a few hours but it rips.

I got a 45cc Chinese Saw and it is very good, a bit lower compression than a Husky, but that makes it easy to start. The chain brake should be adjustable, it's something you do when new, and then forget it. Husqvarna tell you to drop the bar from 12 inches onto a piece of wood, to see if it activates the brake, then adjust the tension on the spring to suit..

meanwhile you can get that saw for 50 bucks(in europe) and they apperantly adressed the issue with the chainbrake I have 2 of them (52cc and 62cc) and they both don't have that issue.

The chain break was saying hey da break the motor in and then rev me out. I had a neighbor buy a 500 stihl and go to town on the first start and smoked the rod bearings.

@@AmericanPiddler Ik bro i couldn't help myself. I just bought a 20in dereal saw from Amazon. I plan to do what ive done to one of my 25cc trimmers and my 36cc 1/5 scale 4x4 rc truck and fully modify the engine for more rpm and power and see how she turns out. My trimmer spins some crazy rrrrs and eats anything without sacrificing torque

Hey Piddler, great video on the Chinese chainsaw. I was surprised to see it was so good. I wonder if it will implode after a few tanks of fuel. Thinking about fuel, do you always use 91 octane, ethanol free fuel in your small engines ? I’d like to buy an electric chain grinder (sharpener). Like your opinion and maybe a video on how to set one up. Thanks for your videos.

Im pondering the Husky 372 clone aka HUS372 on fleabay for $350 bones it aroung 70cc and can use a 28" bar comes with a 18" bar i believe. Great vid man maybe u can review one of those husky clones aka the HUS365 or HUS372 I subbed and liked thx for the saw videos bro.

Pure Whitetail. Yours words are holi true. Last winther I borrowed mine chainsaw ( fotunately 45 cc cheap chinese) to my friend. He subborrowed it to his friend. At the end.....double devastation double destruction...... and double mud and lubricant oil dyrti. Now I am retired. So I have a lot of time to try to repair it. NEVER BORROW NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!Cheers from Italy

I ordered one just like that one. Will be here Wed. I have been having issues with my husqvarna. So hopefully this one will do me until I get it going good. If it works as good as yours I'll be pleased. One question. Is there a good brand of chain that will fit this saw?

There is but it is not safety chain it is not low kick back chain so you'll need to be sure you can handle yourself and the saw.... otherwise I believe the blue max chains are still safety chain... the Oregon chain is 21LPX086G

@@AmericanPiddler Yes I watched them. Mine runs fine. But cuts way crooked to one side. I've seen other videos about sharpening one side more than the other and making the teeth longer on 1 side so I took a caliper and got every tooth about the same. And it still would cut crooked so maybe it's my bar. It looks straight not wore. I just don't know. I just figured $20 for a chain 40 for a bar. I could spend less than a hundred and have a new saw that would be a back up when I get the husky fixed.

pull once with choke on, then immediately take choke off and it starts on 2nd pull

Provided it actually fires on the first pull. Which it didn't. Not until the eleventh pull, where he took choke off then it ran on twelfth pull.

I really hope this guy runs for a while for you, PLEASE PLEASE update this in a while, I'd love to know the outcome!! I took the plunge and bought a CSP2540 for $145, it's 25.4cc of whirring fire lol, drives its 10" Oregon chain through anything like butter, am so in love with it I'm planning to buy another unit IF/WHEN scheppach responds to my email & I can verify if I'm able to purchase parts (sprocket etc) easily-enough, if so then I can't justify buying [1] echo cs2511t when I can [2] of these for the same price LOL!!! I don't have a channel of my own but will soon (bonsai related, have a year's worth of footage saved up lol) and will use that as a venue for updates on my Scheppach as I'm starting to put it to 'professional use' / on-job use now that I'm comfortable with the thing so will have some good reports on it by end-of-year! (and some modifications if scheppach will deal w/ english-speaking customers for replacement parts, can't go all-in on a model if I can't get parts!!)
