アジアの国で同じ製材をする光景を見たら切断機は同じ様なのですが、後は10人近い人力でやってました。ご夫婦二人の息の合った仕事には感銘を受けましたが用心してくれぐれも自己には気を付けて下さい。

いつも楽しみに拝見させて頂いております。私は双葉高校出身ですが、「栴檀は双葉より芳し」と言いますから、実際の栴檀を見たことはありませんが、芳香漂うのでしょうかね？きれいな杢目が出てますね。

いつも見て下さっているのですね。ありがとうございます☆(*^_^*) 双葉高校ですか、素敵な校名ですね！残念ながら、「栴檀は双葉より芳し」の栴檀は「白檀」のことを指すようです。製材している栴檀自体は特別香りが良いわけではありません。杢目は鮮やかで面白いですね♪(*^_^*)

コメント失礼します。板の厚みは２寸くらいでしょか?? お恥ずかしいながら、栴檀の用途は仏壇に使われることしか知りません。他の用途があれば教えてください。よろしくお願いします。

コメントありがとうございます☆ 栴檀は杢目や色味が華やかなので最近は工芸品の材料や一枚板のテーブル等としても人気が出てきています。ちなみに、我が家でも台所のテーブルは栴檀の一枚板を使っています☆(*^_^*)
