I feel like the main challenge with the mod is how fast your limbs get damaged and lead to dead before your health even drops to halfway. Seems like a balance issue.

It's not balance issue, it's meant to be harder and now each of your body parts has it's own HP bar, head and torso being the vital parts that when damaged to 0 will kill you even if your other body parts are intact. And mobs will actually aim at your head and torso instead of whatever they feel like.

The main challenge in RLcraft is the Lycanites mod. (It also does the random events like sub zero) You're welcome potato users. If you can get First Aid, everything can kill your head that only has 2 hearts. The blindness and nausea are annoying as well. Infernal mobs is a fun addition for slightly more challenge. TerraFirmaCraft makes getting a crafting table take many hours. You might actually learn something too. Have fun reading the wiki/book. Any one of the skill/rpg mods to restrict useage of items by Experience. Everything else is fairly inconsequential beyond flavor.
