Best thing about chess, being a beginner means you have a higher chance of discovering something new since you're willing to make any move, even if that move loses. Mastering the game is about refining those discoveries and using them to your advantage. Its important to keep that sense of wonder and excitement as you play, otherwise chess becomes "I am good at the game, i just want to win" and you lose out on opportunities to enjoy yourself. Sometimes all it takes is a little enthusiasm and games like these happen. Never give up! The D(raw) is mightier than the W(in).

Before, I didn't know it was possible to do checkmate with a single piece (rook) other than king left (only because I've never in the position to do so), but when I was given a rook and a king vs a king left, I did it very easily, I mean, I'm not flexing, and you don't even need any training or tricks to do it lol, it's just natural...

This game is a case of your basic strategies, board awareness, knowing where certain pieces can move, and not blundering/giving away undefended pieces. In the low 400s where I've been stuck at are usually filled with early queen attacks. Where pawns defending a pawn push or a pre-emptive knight move to defend the centre work well. Here an early queen trade was attempted, both knew the queen had some significance on the board yet basically fumbled through the first 8 moves. These videos have been very instructive and I've picked up a few strategies, even though I feel it's unfair to judge someone's potentially first few matches, it does make a good example of the basics.

Thank You Levy for this hilarious video and for having this amazing KZfaq channel! Sadly I think my chess phase is over, but thanks to you it has lasted so much longer than it would’ve have had without you. (2 years to be precise) It has been a blast! Chess, the community, this channel and guess the elo will always have a golden place in my heart and I will remember all the good times I had with all of you. Thank you for making this chapter of my life a little better Adiós my friends, maybe we will see each other again o7

My ELO is about 600 right now. I was looking the other day at one of my favorite games I've played, in which I spent about half the midgame using just one knight to clear out my opponent's pieces through check forks. Focusing that much on one piece is of course not wise, but it worked. Primarily because my opponent passed several opportunities to capture it, only taking it with the king after being worn down to a few pawns.

Details Levy skipped: Both players started with 3 min on the clock, with I think 3 second increment, and ended with over 7 min. Second detail: "When chess is played perfectly, it's a draw" was a donation message at the moment of the draw.
