@@johnnycoolguy3841 this is a really good comment that sent me down an hour-long rabbit hole. There doesn't seem to be a clear consensus on what the difference between stimming and fidgeting is. Because ADHD people and autistic ppl both stim, but do it in different ways, stimming as a term has become more of a umbrella for self-stimulatory behavior and seems to have a lot of overlap with fidgeting. I myself am ADHD but not autistic and I am constantly doing stuff like this. Laura is doing her thing with her bracelet most of the interview and for me it's my watch or my necklace. Or anything else I can get my hands on. Or playing with my hands or popping noises. Which is why I felt like it was relatable.

Despite my having more moderate conservative values, I wish nothing but happiness and love for Laura and I support her self-expression. Life is too short to not allow room for a type of person who’s internal world clashes with the external in hundreds of ways. It still needs to be done in a measured and responsible way, but if there is a God or Jesus, and he was here, he would be sure to show deep compassion for trans folks.
