For anyone who noticed the messed up music during the time lapses - the music had to be removed as there was a copyright claim impacting my monetization on this video.

These bloated batteries are also called "Spicy Pillows", and the reason why is because they're a fire hazzard. Definitely replace old Lithium-ion batteries, even if you don't see any swelling. I would strongly suggest replacing 5+ year old batteries. This will save you a lot of headache in the future. Also make sure to properly get rid of them ASAP! Do not just throw them away with your other trash! These batteries can explode and catch fire, dispose of them properly.

also if you have a fmi off device that isnt erased, dont connect it to the internet! it is something apple themselves tell you not to do if you get fmi off approval, as it can sync the icloud account and reactivate fmi if it was remotely deactivated

Oh… forgot about that. That video was supposed to be released in January of last year. The repair was finished, I recorded everything, and before I spent the time to edit the video I decided so spend a few days toying around with it so I could review it in the video. 2 days after the repair was finished, the baseband died, and I stupidly erased the phone. Now it just sits on a shelf, unable to set up on iOS 16.2.

This newer desighn is really nice. I went from iPhone 11 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max 5-6 months ago, and the Dynamic Island is so much nicer than you'd think at first. It's pretty convenient to see my the music i'm playing and my timer on it. I wish more 3rd party devs added Dynamic Island functionality in their apps.

Did I miss something? This is meant to be a repair, but the front and back of the phone are still cracked. Is it meant to be impressive that you changed the battery?
