When I heard Rich mention Victor Borge I knew Kel was in for a treat. I used to watch him all the time when he was on PBS. Always very funny. He used to end his show with "Don't forget to take your keys with you" them pick up the keys off the piano and walk off with them. Obviously just a prop but funny. If you want to check out some other humorous piano playing then check out Chico Marx. He played piano in every movie the Marx Bros did. You can find a lot of them on KZfaq.

My mom loved Victor Borge....he was Danish, which is Scandinavian and my mother was 100% Swedish, so she felt that connection. There used to be a comedy radio station in a neighboring town, and I heard his bits on it sometimes. Victor was not only an excellent pianist, he was also a very good and unique comedian.........he did a bit where he pronounces all the punctuations in a dissertation using sounds...it's pretty funny...you should check it out!

Since I have Ménière’s Disease with Vestibular Migraine which took away my hearing in one ear and resulted in a permanent dizziness syndrome with constant tinnitus, I can relate to what Kel is going through. It’s especially tough having sung in a Choir ( and we did everything from Gregorian Chant to Olivier Messiaen and everything in between) and being an incurable Led Zeppelin fan. Aside from the physical discomfort that must be endured every minute, the fact that folks just don’t get it is perhaps the most vexing issue one has to deal with. Sometimes, I want to deck people who say things like, “ But you LOOK perfectly fine.” When your head is swimming and you feel rotten just sitting in a quiet room, and those around think you’re perfectly fine, the frustration is immeasurable, and the desire to return to normalcy is simply overwhelming. God Bless, Kel. All one can do is take the next step in the journey and chose to be happy while doing so.

For an amazing piano duet try Dr. John and Jools Holland as the boogie woogie twins. Oh, and welcome back!

The great thing about Victor Borge was eventhough most of his gags was the same through most of his career he could always make the people on stage with him break up in giggles, even hardned talk show hosts like Johnny Carson was helpless when Borge turns on the charm.

Thanks for the update on Winston. He's looking good. My friends Yorkies just had 9 pups, last time they had 11. Just saying. Really though, the more the merrier.

Since Rich mentioned other musicians of the same ilk, check out Tim Minchin. A certifiable genius.
