So relaxing! Fun fact is, the water is costantly moving, so the jellys feels like they are in a free ocean... And those jellys are super adorable 🥰🥰🥰

The water is constantly moving cuz without it the jellyfish will literally be in the bottom of the tank all the time, the pulse they do is not for movement but to catch food, they need flow to move and to breathe.

People be thinking the $1,400 price tag for the tank is a lot. Each of the those jellyfish cost around $20 lol so that's a minimum of $2,000. And they only live 6 months to a year depending on how well you care for them so you have to keep buying more.

I advise you not to get a lot of jellyfish since they can grow and you tank may be too crowded which can be bad for them. I dont even know if its legal to release jellyfish to the wild.

It's not impossible! We keep them here at Sunset Marine Labs and our breeding program is just starting to take off! The stings can be an issue if you're trying to clean the inside of your tank by hand, but for the most part you don't have to worry too much.

+Kenneth Badders Jellyfish don't have the capability to comprehend or understand what is going on. No brain, or awareness, they react on instinct. They have a simple nervous system, so they respond to touch, but don't "feel" pain or emotion. The only thing I see wrong here is a risk of extinction due to another pet fad. Or people releasing them in non native parts of the ocean... Lots of potential problems there.

Those are moon jelly fish they don't sting humans because their stings are to weak(it depends on how big they are)also they breed and they eat brine shrimp 🍤and other small small plants and animals.

Michael - Can you give me a little info about this? It's hard to find REAL opinions about how hard they are to keep, feed, and clean the tank..so your opinion and experience is really valuable. I'm about to buy a 200 gallon aquarium and I'm racking my brain thinking what I could keep in it that's not too much work yet will be more interesting than just throwing the usual fish in it. Thanks so much!

Nightbird Well you need a rounded shape aquarium with constant water flow for jellyfish. Otherwise they will get stuck in the corners and die, since they are unable to go in a certain direction by themselves. Most important thing is you have to feed them everyday. fish can live a few days without food, so you can't go on a vacation if nobody feeds your jellyfish. Cleaning the aquarium and changing the water is almost the same as with normal ones.

Philip Danzinger Well then I guess that eliminates jelly's for me..since my aquarium will be the typical square. I guess I will have to find another interesting animal to put into it. I'm just so bored with the usual fish..that I want something big and colorful for a change that isn't the usual thing..but that will be ok in a 200 gallon tank. Thanks for the info!
