I really can’t think of any advantage Leon has other than reach and even that’s minimal. Leon’s a strong dude but JDM is also a strong dude for the division. If JDM can keep up with Gilbert Burns on the ground then he’s for sure going to pose some problems for Leon Edwards in that compartment. 60/40 favoring JDM imo

My take on Talbot is he had seen the holes in cameron's striking when advancing (dricus makes the style work with his long arms). Gameplan and the ability to execute is what Talbott showed against a beast. We still have to see if he can be a nail and if he has a chin. If he's got those, watch out.

I used to be a JDM Stan but uhh I just don't think he's champ material anymore 🤷 at best maybe he's an Australian Dustin. Also Talbott hasn't really been tested, let's relax on the hype. We do not know if he's composed at all under fire

@@dominicbautista7664 there seems to be a couple of missing pieces to his game. Primarily offensive grappling and a very low variety of weapons on his feet. I believe he will go down as the best gate keeper the 170lb division will ever see. He just wont be able to beat the actual elites of the division. Struggling with haffez wasn't a good look either

@@edwardirwin3478 no. Burns is completely washed and has been for quite some time I personally don't value any win over burns to be worth much at this point in time. Winning with an injury is not something I value either much either. By no means do I think JDM is terrible, he just ain't it.

I’ve rewatched the burns fight Jack was getting hit a lot with overhand, elbows etc even damage based scoring it’s still very arguable that burns was up. I do think Jack can win but I feel like leon could either range strike or grapple his way to a win

I agree with the paddy win, sometimes the best fighter doesn’t always win. Attributes play a big factor into fights also. Bobby being chinny now, and paddy having a solid chin. Paddy only needs to hit him clean once and it’s gonna be almost impossible for Bobby to recover after paddy goes after him

My only issue with Talbott as a prospect is that idk if he'll stick with MMA. He does a LOT of other things outside of fighting, all it could take is one fight going poorly (losing or getting an injury_ and he could just up and leave. That being said, I hope he proves me wrong, he's had great fights thus far and could go far.
