This is for sure the oldest vehicle that’s been here at Fat Fender Garage, a 1926 Dodge Brothers touring. An old buddy of ours' wife asked us to surprise him with starting up his old car that hasn't ran in about 62 years. Believe it or not, this old Dodge was his first car when he was just 16 years old. We've been working on getting this thing to start for months now, and it was harder than it may seem. It was a pain to work on but definitely worth it, his and his family's reactions were priceless. Subscribe to our channel so you don't miss a video, and follow our Instagram and Facebook to keep up with our day-to-day 🤯
Visit fatfendergarage.com/ to order parts for your trucks, and feel free to email Jason anytime if you have questions! // info@fatfendergarage.com

We did this with my grandad and his 1921 model T, family secretly restored it and drove it to his 80th birthday party, he heard it coming way up the road and ran outside shouting good lord that's my model T.

I'm minus a dented & rusted '71 Satellite big block car bc of that bs back in the 80's...it was a fine car to place on the back burner awhile till i had the resources to fix. even in it's battered state it'd be a $5k car, now. August 2023 Update: Ricks family has decided to sell this vehicle and they asked us to write this here to help find the next owner for Ricks car. They are asking $8,500 - if you are interested email jason@fatfendergarage.com // Located in Gilbert, Arizona. For everyone asking, Rick unfortunately passed away recently. Him and his family will always remember the joy he felt driving his first car for the last time, surrounded by family and friends. My driving instructor recently got a VW Golf petrol, a brand new one. Had a 2017 Ford Fiesta ST before that. At least the Fiesta had mechanic pedals so it would still communicate with you through vibrations but the Golf gives zero feedback. No resistance on the brakes or throttle, you can't feel the clutch catch when you let it up so you might make it stall. Thing is quite literally a cheap hunk of plastic.

Bart Simpson you’re right, but I think this isn’t a carbureted vs fuel injected claim... ...I think the belief is that there is a lot less technology in a 91 Chevy vs a brand new one. New cars also seem to have a lot less soul. I don’t really get the same feeling out of modern cars than 20th century models. Even with all the sensors and computers the 90s vehicles have, they’re still much easier to work on and will outlive modern vehicles on that reason alone.

There's something more to this, that you're missing. This is it, the last ride of the old man and his car, both aged together and sadly are dying together, dents, scratches, warped frames, though it looked to me that the old mans back straightened up a bit as he held on to that steering wheel. It's kinda beautiful, when you think about it. It'd be nice to restore the car after he's gone, in his memory.
