It depends on many factors. Today I have been to a chicken shop in Rhenock, Sikkim. The birds were 4-7 kg. The shopkeeper said the buying price was Rs. 110 per kg and he was selling at 200 rs(dressed). So, it was profitable for both the farmer and the retailer.
