The last year was the hardest I’ve ever worked on improving my art and furthering my career. I built this channel up enough to make PopCross Studios my full-time job and left behind my career in animation. And now feels like a great time to go back and do a tour of all the drawings and animations I’ve done in the past year and a bit that helped me get to the point I’m at and get my dream job of being a full-time KZfaqr!
And this is a great way to look back at the saga of the fat knees :P Basically I worked a lot on improving how I draw legs and general anatomy in the last year. So in a way this video is like a spiritual successor to my 20 year sketchbook tour. I go through my progress and show off some of my favourite stuff from my Pokemon as superheroes videos, Overwatch Dungeons and Dragons, venomizing various things (including a Fortnite venom episode I never released), all my spider-man, avengers and general superhero drawings, some weird video game fan art, my superman in 10 different art styles video, Disney Princesses as various things some Ben 10 art, Ninja turtles stuff, some original characters… oh and of course an animation that I NEVER Showed!
Along with looks back at the process and illustrations from a bunch of my old animated videos back when I thought I wanted to follow an Odd1sout or Pantsless Pyjamas road of being a youtube animator!

I did kinda screenshot most of them not to make them wallpapers but i draw on paper and your style is really simple and detailed at the same time so i took them and drew most of the poses, When i feel like I’m ready i will send my drawings to redraw community art hut for now its just practice 😊 really enjoyed the vid btw.

Sir what a portfolio and you're doing KZfaq?(so grateful tho, please don't stop). Looking back has been great, even if I only found the channel way late into your journey. couldn't find character to challenge you with if you're still up for it, knowing you're busy. This was a great video all the pictures looked good it went really quickly to find any flaws. I always thought the characters you draw are clothed with armor or have a type of earth element either rock or ice so the legs don’t seem out of place at all. What helps me is to think about the direction the eyes are looking and add a foot arch like with a basic toe bending then the ankles can help with the size of the knee cause if there’s not a purpose for the figure then it can look weird afterwards. I have lots of drawings I don’t complete also cause I’ll finish them later but I like your quick sketches it’s good foundation.

I really like how you can draw both human figures and monster/animal figures. I haven’t quite figured out how to draw animals so I really have just avoided it but now that I’ve started watching you more I think I might want to try it out more. (if any of you have tips/ideas for me that would be great) personally I’ve really lived your community redraw episodes and you more recent venom related videos, especially the ones where you have a story you do during your video. Btw the video of your animated character with no neck was hilarious!! Love your work and I enjoy all your videos, thanks for being a cool KZfaqr!!!

This was a great trip down memory lane. I’m so glad I got to see metal greymon and metal garurumon in their finished hero art. Please consider doing more digimon heroes. The next Pokémon superhero video should be Pokémon villains. You could do videos showing every Pokémon team rocket has had from season 1-sun and moon as supervillains. How about female characters as Japanese magic girls? Heroes and villains as high school kids? Monster inc characters as humans? I think you’re videos of Pokémon and even 2 digimon heroes shows missed potential for making a superhero comic universe especially since the Pokémon names fit perfectly for their hero appearance but the value of Pokémon and their hero counterparts would be significantly diminished coexisting.
