Hennessey is not a car manufacturer. They are tuner/builders so not a fare comparison to the big 3 or their competitors.

I'm biased, because I work at the plant building Challengers and Chargers. The Demon rules, and the 170 rules all. I believe we are back on top for being the fastest production vehicle, whereas the Hennessy Exorcist, is a modded car. The Challenger is a drag car that comes with a warranty. I must say though the Exorcist looks awesome.

It took 5 minutes of test driving a manual Challenger Hellcat in 2018 to convince me to buy a manual ZL1. I promptly took the ZL1 to LMR in Houston. I now have a 800HP (E85, pulley, etc.) awesome daily driver. In my opinion the ZL1 is a better real world/daily platform.

The demon is faster at the 1/8th and 1/4 mile, but I wonder which would win in the 1/2 mile or 1 mile. It goes without saying the Demon would have no chance on a road course. Both are awesome machines, we're not likely to see these kind of cars ever again.

Hey brother, I just watched your video (5-14-23). You did a fantastic job at comparing the two top muscle cars. Which car would I choose? The ZL1 exorcist all the way. I have nothing against the Demon. It's a badass car, but I am a down to earth CHEVY fan. Regardless of how much faster the Dodge Demon goes and how cool it looks. I'm sticking with the Camaro. I love everything about how the Camaro looks. Keep posting the videos bro. You did a great job

You say only $96,666 for the Demon but you have to add the ridiculous markups of up to $100,000 or more from TURD Dealerships. So I would say The Hennessy would be on equal par with Dodge.

The exorcist is not in the same league as the Demon170. I live in Texas, where Hennessey is located. I offered to drag race the exorcist against my stock Demon several times, which Hennessey declined. Hennessey is a tuned car after the factory, so your comparison is wrong.

...the Demon's are spooky fast in the hands of an experienced driver, the Drag Paks are even crazier on a lot less motor...I would love to see a stripped down Drag Pak with a Demon or Hellephant motor....it would have to be re-calibrated as the Drag Pak is a 345ci Hemi with something like 630ish HP that puts it into the 7.5's...imagine if that chassis was calibrated for a 1000hp HEMI?...

I was a teenager back in his 70s that’s when you could buy a used muscle car anywhere from 300 to maybe $2000 2000 was like crazy but I did have a friend who bought the five year old for 42 in mint shake for 2250 and that was stupid money back then I would buy SS 396 Chevys all the time you could buy them cheap and whoever’s at least four or five speed, shops and machine shops all within just a couple miles of where I live the high school parking lot look like a car show we all worked on our own cars most popular that’s probably the small block Camaro or Chevelle a new or either a Chevy man or a Ford man we have a hang out sort of like you saw an American graffiti and we’d all liner cars up there on Saturday night and guys from other town come to race us, and there is always a big rivalry between the four guys and the Chevy guys and we had our Mopar guys to not a lot but everybody respected Mopar. I could remember most of the Mopar‘s in my classes from the school, 71, 340 Demon, 68, 383 road runner Cudas what Chevy was the most popular they were cheap and tons of them for sale and speed shops had it anything you wanted in stock for Chevys I did build one Ford Cleveland but one and done never liked the way Ford set their stuff up I got Lucky a couple of times in the 1979 I scored a 68 Biscayne it had 1800 miles it was at a local Chevy dealer and it was used for drag racing but still streetable this was today COPO car 427L 72 when I got the car it still had the big tube headers on it and full exhaust 488S. M 22. Some suspension work but mostly stock except for the aluminum heads I think the intake was stock and a Holley carburetor was also stock on a good day with slicks the car with Ron 11.70 at 114 mph nobody ever beat me. There was always hot rods, cruising up and down on the weekends and stoplight drag racing was a daily occurrence I’m 63 now. I probably built over 100 cars when the demon came out I went wild. I said I have to have one well the dealer screwed up and I lost a demon and still I have other cars that I Reese And a couple exotics I was disappointed but not shattered. Somehow, though in a weird series of coincidences I heard about this super stock call my Dodge dealer and he said yeah, I have an allocation for one. They never advertised it. Nobody even knew about the used cars and everyone Was a special order build not one was built for the show room. Your name is printed on the window sticker and they bring it to you in an enclosed trailer and I got bare-bones special black hood With pins demonic with seatbelts, rear seat, delete , and I just had to stage two kit installed and resonator illuminators on 100 octane fuel it’s making 899 hp. It is a beast the only other car I could think of or that I owned that was more dangerous than this was Everett Morrison cobra with a stroke 4 60 Ford crate motor cobra was basically a death trap for someone who don’t know how to drive or it’s just a plain idiot because it would smoke tires at 65 miles an hour and same with my super stock. I was in third gear on the highway. I punched it in the tires just went into a smoking burn out inexperienced driver would’ve probably ended up about 100 feet off the road. and I paid 2000 under sticker all sitting down that car in my garage with almost 900 hp cost to me about 105K all in !!! List in 1500 were made it’s the rarest of the Challenger hot rods and the best kept secret. I am now seeing beautiful demons with virtually no mileage for 100 K 105 K a price drop like 50 grand patience is a virtue, oh, and to all of you demon 170 owners and paid 250 you’re a bunch of suckers they made 3000 for those more than double of the super stock I can usually get another hundred horse out of my super stock that would bring it just about where the demon 170 is anybody who was lucky enough to get a super stock hit the lottery because it’s the rarest and all my modifications were done by the dealer so I can go to the track Bolton, my ultralightweight wheel and tire set and probably run on a good day in the mid 9s yeah the demon 171 into the eights they waited days for the right weather condition and they went to tracks that they know are fast and they had to hire a professional driver. I’ve watched video on the 170. I did not see the board light up with the ET! There’s gonna be a lot of disappointing guys out there gonna take their demon 170 down to the track try and navigate through way through the screen to work behind, locking the trans brake, and all the other settings that take forever to burn into your brain or at least a 63 year old brain And you’re gonna run 10 s !!! so close and get a demon 170 is this the shit but nothing special about their car that makes it worth 2 1/2 times more than a super stock that with $10,000 worth of parts and modifications will run is good as the 170 and it cost 250 versus my nine second super stock $105,000. I don’t care how much money you have. I’ve done well in my life I’m financially secure and built extremely successful business. I would not pay a dime more than MSRP for demon 170, but there is a sucker for every seat you could probably buy one hour distress sell for 150.

Where do you get 655 horsepower from the ZL1.The Camaro only puts out 650 horsepower.I would take the demon too but I hate the boring silver color it would be so much better in the maroon or burgendy color of the new EV charger.

None of the 2, Hennessey Exorsist never upgraded the braking system. The Demon 170 $300,000 - $350,000 dealership price is only made to go straight, can't go to the Canyons with that. The 2023 Yenko Camaro with 1,150 is way better for $230,000 Though, i am happy with my 2022 Roush Mustang with the 3rd Pedal 6 Speed Manual Transmission 👦👍🏎🏁🚩 The only reason Demon is Faster, is than the Camaro. Only way it's gonna get close to the claimed times is if it's got 100% perfect conditions with a pro driver. Same as the last Demon. Most owners didn't even come close to getting the claimed performance figures. And on the street it barely got into the 10's even. The 170 might get low nines.

0-60 in 1.6 seconds with Slicks and track prepped so much that you better tie your shoes on extra tight if you are going to walk on it or they will come off and stay on the track. You will have to be lucky to see sub 4 seconds 0-60 on the street and I mean real lucky.

That IS the question....WHY?? (would we pick either??). They are ? to me in that the 170 is a "production HiPperf drag car" that offers amazing performance ready for drag racing. BUT if you were serious why would you buy a PRODUCTION drag car?? If you compete in drag racing or road-racing most people would buy a used car and build it up to THEIR preferred spec..... If I HAD TO pick between the 2 I'd go with the ZL1 becasue I would be driving it on the street 99 perecent of hte time. You want a car that can "sort of do corners" : and can hanle the imperfections in the road (bumps, pot-holes...etc.) How "streetable" is the 170?? :)) Wil it beat you into th ground?? :)) Handle like a tug-boat?? The 170 IS an example of great enggineering no doubt....gone by the end of this year (no more made)....but I question the need....competitoive drag racer or just a guy who wants POWER for "street driving" stoplight to stoplight....

What you’re not talking about is street/strip. In order for the Demon to beat the Exorcist, the front wheels need to be changed, the air breather changed, the ECM needs to be changed, the rear tires reduced by 20 psi and race fuel. Head to head with none of those changes, the Exorcist beats the Demon all day. Do your research before you post a ridiculous video that doesn’t explain all the changes.
