Ollies are more damaging in my experience. Depends how you kick flip tho. A lot of people only touch rubber with their kick flips. If I Ollie my shoes rip so quickly

Shoes and food are the best investment. Its worth to buy some quality shoes if you can, since these will ruin your foot arch and flatten it, which will cause a lot of back pain later in your life.

Just bought a new board from CCS because I watched a Tony Hawk rates the levels of Skateboarding trick difficulty then found Jonny Giger's channel which led to the Braille channel and got inspired to start skating again. Stopped skating maybe around 06 or 07 but kept buying skate shoes, been buying Supra's which cost 120 dollars a pair so hopefully my 120 dollar Supra's will last longer than those 10 dollar shoes.
