Don't forget that multi velocity oil, it makes your Harley go faster, I use it in my Road King special. 👍👍👍 Great video with plenty of explanations. 👍👍👍👍👍

Well done. I do all my service and repairs on my vehicles (that I know I can) and I just picked up a 21 Softail Street Bob 114. First HD, so I'm doing lots of research. Appreciate what you're doing here.

Thank u it means a lot. Just remember I was told by 2 different HD dealers that doing your 1000 mile service "COULD VOID YOUR WARRANTY" make sure u buy all the oil and stuff u need for your service from the dealer and keep your receipts.

Nice job servicing . Your derby cover sump plug . Might be normal because of clutch ware fibres . Mine is always very black when I service mine every year . And I’m lucky if I do 500 miles a year . Might be worth showing your Harley dealer . 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍

My dealership wants 700 for the first 1000 service. 320 is not bad if you don’t have the time and the tools

I would like to say I am really enjoying this video on the thousand mile oil change this is my first bike 59 years old want to do my own service where did you get the thousand mile check list check list something that I could go by with the torque specs and how much oil goes into a primary and trans mission

If u are on Facebook u can go to this page facebook.com/groups/1465028990466294/?ref=share and go to the files tab at the top of the page and search for your bike and download a free service manual. That will give u all the torque specs and oil capacities. The check list I found on Google. I just searched Harley Davidson service check list. If your bike is under warranty I was informed that performing your own service "COULD" void your warranty.

Did you fire up your bike and run it for two minutes to get the oil to fill the new filter then do a cold oil level check on the Jiffy stand? You may have overfilled it!. And during that run did you leave the garage door shut???

There is 2 different marks on the dip stick. One for checking on the jiffy stand and to check it straight up. No I opened the door. I've been turning wrenches for many of years.

@@blackedoutbandit we cant post links here but its like a plasma rod look at panama city hd site that where i seen them in person $165 i think they were you will get them i no you will ..lol no more dots and if you go to customs dynamics you can get the adapter to make them run stop brake that what i want to do let me see if i can find the part number

Hey what’s up. I performed all my services on my previous 14SG except the first 1000 mile service because it was my first Harley and after enrolling in KZfaq University (lol) I never looked back. Now I have a 21 CVO RG and for some reason I’m debating on if I should do my first 1000 mile service on this one because of HD crackling down on warranties. Any worries or concerns?

As long as u get everything from your local dealer and keep your receipt u should be fine. If u don't have a service manual there is a Facebook page that has most service manual for free. I'll get u the link.
