I road trip my newly-rescued diesel Samurai a little over 1000 miles to meet up with Doug and Eric for some desert exploration.

Hey man, was wondering how you were doing. Glad you're getting out and about and having fun, and thanks for sharing as usual.

Good to hear from you! Facebook may be some kind of evil social experiment, but it's hard to argue against its ability to keep old navy buddies connected ;)

Let’s take a questionable samurai I just bought and sat not running for years on a 1200 mile road trip. I like your style!

Beautiful trip! I miss Oregon. Need to take a trip there soon. Man, you sure threw some snappy little numbers into that video too🤣

I Thought that I recognized your Sami... nice vid.

Do you have some history with this Samurai? Tell me more!

@@MattVerley No Matt I do not...I have seen videos from Doug's channel, with the sun stones and his video of this same trip when the little turbo failed and you guys self recovered with a boy scout knife and some duct tape in the dark... or words to that effect. But I am certain that "MacGyver" would have been amazed.

What was the material clogging the turbo? Sorry I I must have missed it.

I think it was pieces of the exhaust manifold…whoever built it just left the cutout pieces rattling around in there

Loved the views.. hated the music. I see you did get "The Comic book Guy" from the Simpsons in a shot. Glad you got it figured out.

Fair enough…I don’t think much of the music either. The two songs I used during the first upload got hit with copyright claims even though they were originally not copyrighted. I’ve used them for years. Hard to find anything really good in KZfaq’s free audio library…

What is a sun stone? Quarts.?
@MattVerley Жыл бұрын
I’m not much of a geologist, so I’ll just link to the Wikipedia page that explains exactly what the sunstone mineral is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunstone

You have a utube channel! How do you forget to record? That’s the hole purpose of having a KZfaq channel🤦♂️🤦♂️🤪
@MattVerley Жыл бұрын
Actually…I rarely (if ever) do anything to create KZfaq content. I just set up the cameras sometimes when I’m already doing something. So, KZfaq is kind of an afterthought for most of the stuff I do.
