This is fun to watch. You can tell that Diana has already adjusted well with living in the Philippines. She even knows how to make tawad 😅 Just a tip, you don't have to buy per kilo. You can ask them to give you what you need in the amount that you need/want/like. For example, 20 pesos worth of garlic, 20 pesos worth of onion, 50 pesos worth of sayote. You can buy more with a limited budget if you do that. It is also better to think about what you will cook before you buy the ingredients, so you know what you need to buy and you can properly budget your money.

Am not living in Philippines right now but thanks for this challenge it made me realized that still 1k pesos can buy something that is good enough for a week. You all have the protein that needed and veggies and fruit , so perfect and of course the rice! Here in Norway, it´s very expensive! Am your fan , greetings from Norway!

when you buy in supermarket its airconditioned, some fruits and vegetbles are even imported, and also you make the rich become more richer, when you buy in public market its hot, cleanliness and smell is not so good, its a bit cheaper but the best thing is you help the poor vendors and small interpreneur, like buying local

the red or purple colored eggs are duck eggs, and its salted... its is also called salted eggs. these eggs are aged in a brine solution (water and salt) then hard boiled perfect is you are on a budget, you don have to buy it by the tray, you can get few pieces. commonly, salted eggs are mixed with chopped tomato paired it rice and that's it.. you have quick light lunch or dinner...

It's great Diana,you have adopted filipino culture of doing the marketing for the household needs specially food to cook for the whole day meal.for breakfast you got dried fish & egg with steamed rice..for luch you had the chicken for tinola soup combined again with steamed rice. Lastly you got freash tilapia to fry or cook marinated in small amout of vinegar & onion flavored by grated black pepper called paksiw..hope you can manage to have filipino food on your table...
