Congrats on 1,000! While the San Diego Zoo was my family's favored animal park growing up, I do remember going to the L.A. Zoo once, right after it opened. Also remember going to the (soon to be closed) Griffith Park Zoo for a "last time" visit while the new zoo was building. Don't remember much from those visits, but thanks for the memories, nonetheless.
