Here I enter 2022 with a bang. This video is probably the most hard-worked video by me. A lot of information and solid video editing - all done by me. A lot of people wanted to know if its worth moving to the US as a Software engineer. I have tried to add as much information as I could. The decision is yours to make.

Living abroad even if it is for small time is defineltey worth it. It opens your mind, change your perspective. You should trade your little home comfort especially when you are young. It's not just about saving money. If you get a chance then go for it, because you'll always have an option to come back to India.

I have lived in both the countries- the major drawback in the US is NOT HAVING HELP WHILE U R IN DISTRESS!!!. and it's a HUGEEEEEEEEE THING . ONE CAN ONLY UNDERSTAND THIS IF HE/SHE IS IN THAT PERTICULAR SHOE. If you are having just a little health issue, life would be hell for u as u have to do ur daily job and noone is here to help u.

One thing to remember is that savings can be directly converted to INR only works if you plan to come back to India. Otherwise savings need to benchmarked to the levels in USA. The bar to get into the top 1 percent is very high in US compared to India.

In the current Indian Government since 2014 the IT sector is growing fast in India and companies are already paying quality deepens on skills , yes Google Microsoft apple Tesla amazon HQ are not in India so unless you want to be a part of the core team(open soon in India) or want to become a CEO or you are just following others for moving to US trends its better to live in India with good skill sets . The savings are 3X in US but if you permanent live there then again you will have the same ration of purchasing power or even less as India is cheaper(much cheaper). Genuinely said but sometimes families insist sending their kids as they don’t have enough finances to further fund even basic job based education . So eventually it’s a money game if you aren’t confident in India that you will be able to buy a place to live and enjoy basic aspects of life with the salary. One should plan a move. As the same support system gets very cruel if you aren’t successful in India.

Xbox and all attract import duties that's y they are costly.. but it is coming down.. i purchased iphone 12 128gb at 50k inr last yr.. things are getting better in india.. plus you get to enjoy all the festivals, which i can't live without.. especially Holi Diwali.. they are family get together time..

If the aim is to do job just for 5 years in the US then internal transfer is the best option hands down! Because you don't need to spend in the US and be in debt for the education. If the aim is for a long term job, internal transfer will just give u 5 years. Now it's your luck to get selected in H1B lottery and extend beyond 5 years. I don't think its about money or saving that much which in any case going to be higher. Its more about moving to a developed country and hoping to settle down there permanently and live a much better and peaceful life. Btw you don't convert USD to Indian rupees when you compare things, that's not how it works.
@100GB
@100GB 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it can actually depend! For example, if you want to achieve financial independence in the US, it's very hard because you would need to save multi million dollars which is actually not possible with a job. However if u wanna achieve it in India, earning in the US helps. If the purpose is just to live in a developed country to have a better and peaceful life (debatable), it is fine to think about long term. Life here is not really that comfortable as far as married life (without kids) is concerned. There are pros and cons and hence some trade-offs have to be made.

I am not an expert but im jus telling what is in my mind. Based on ur points 1. yes you can apply google California from anywhere - if you are talented they will process visa for you, 2. Master is not needed to work in USA, but if you want you can study, 3. Apply google and get interviewed they will let you know whether you are eligible. All the best!!

What you said is good. But you will feel good to stay in USA after 45 age. because it’s hard to find better job in India after this age unless you have exceptional skills. But you can survive in USA with average skills without retirement age limit.

I really don't know man! There a lot of factors. I personally am not inclined to stay permanently in the US as most of my friends and all my family are in India.

Overall nice video !! But you are only showing these numbers from freshers perspective, for taking internal transfer to US in most companies I think you have to work for atleast few years then only you can apply for an internal transfer. And for that level salary is much higher. I have few close friends who are working in US after internal transfer and their annual salary is around 250-300k. So all calculations shown in the video will be different in that case. I am just raising a point. Your videos are awesome !! 😄

Yes and No. For internal transfers to US one has to work in the Indian company for atleast an year. And yes, I compared the fresher level of India with the fresher level of the US. Even for higher levels the scale (~4x) almost remains the same but yes one ends up saving more. FYI, I didn't consider stocks because they vary a lot from company to company!

one more plus point is yu are earning in USDT in long term it is good hedge against INR,so if you are coming back to India after let's say 5-6 years then that USDT earnings will have more value than now in INR
