I am convinced God exists because I know there is life within this body of mine that goes deeper than mere flesh and blood. I am a life that never existed until I became a life. Everything on and around this Earth has purpose, everything we do, everything we say, everything we build, everything we think, and everything we aim to be has purpose. To myself personally the fact that everything in life has purpose would make it illogical for life itself to have no purpose, to live a life of purposeful things and then to just enter oblivion with no purpose would make life itself pointless. I struggled for years wondering if God would really forgive me and accepted me. 1 john 1: 9 says' if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness'.. To me the only question is whether or not we want to be forgiven. Psalm 86:5 says' for the Lord art good and ready to forgive;and pleanteous in mercy unto ALL that call upon thee.' Ezekiel 18:21-32 he has another reminder for us...'Have I any pleasure that the wicked should die?saith the LORD GOD and not that he should return from his ways and live?...' God doesn't take pleasure when people die in their sins, he wants all to turn to him. John 3;16 says" for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that WHOSOEVER believetheth on him should not perish but have everlasting life .john 6:37 says' he that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out'. If you or I want to be forgiven, God will forgive us. If however you don't want to be forgiven and choose not to believe that is obviously a very different issue. I wondered about Gods existence in the past alot but eventually sought out answers to my questions. Both my conscience and creation reminded me there was a God. His creation with the order and detailed intricacy involved in everything that just didn't seem to be able to happen randomly. Also my conscience, which reminded me that I have sinned and because we are created in his image we know it is wrong. I have lied and I have broken many of his commandmandments. It to me is completely understandable that a righteous judge would want to get rid of sin and even punish people who aren't willing to turn from it. That is what good judges try to do in our world, how much more would a sinless being want to eliminate things that harm his creation. Anyway, I am praying God will remind you how much he loves all of us and that Christ came to forgive any who will turn to him of any sin by his sacrifice on the cross. I was just thinking I have been in a similar place to where you are where I questioned alot. If you are truly seeking because you want to know, I think there is alot of evidence if we search after it. Honestly however,I think that the reason many of us choose not to objectively look though, is because if there is a God, we are responsible to him and he would expect me to turn from my sin. Since I used to like my sin ,I wasn't trying too hard to find him and truth be told, would kind of 'hide' from him because at the time I liked the life I was living. I do however really believe he will make his existence very evident if we will call on him sincerely . I have seen examples many times. If you are open to knowing whether or not there is a a God ,call out to him in sincerity, what could it hurt. Be willing to seek after the truth wherever it leads. Admit you have sinned to him and ask him to forgive you by what messiah Jesus has done for us. I am certain if you are seeking ernestly he will meet you where you are. Sad to say u refuse the truth, as Allah says He can forgive the person who kills even 99 people, but never forgive those who worship other than me. I'm a Christian and i do follow Sanatana Dharma too. But what the hindu priest said to you was completely wrong. In Hinduism we have 33 koti gods which means we have 33 supreme gods. Here the word "koti" is a sanskrit word which literally means "supreme" not million. Therefore we have only 33 gods, not 33 million gods. He has misunderstood the meaning of koti here since koti in Sanskrit has two meanings-- one is the qualitative definition and second is the quantitative definition. The literal definition of koti is the qualitative one, not the quantitative one.
