Thank you 10O Huntley for this interview which brings important insight into Andy Stanley and the message and perspective he brings in his new book Irrestible. In this candid interview, the interviewer does a great job in letting Stanley address the criticism he gets and also that he is often called a heretic. The validation or invalidation of this charge is important to address, as church leaders-many who may or may not know the as Bible well as scholarly theologians-earnestly attempt to reach, build relationships with and bring back those who have left the church. Successfully bringing back those looking into faith for a second time and giving them an on-ramp into faith potentially affects entire generations of their children and grandchildren. In most all denominations of Christian churches today, the question is being asked, “What does live require of us?” One way Andy answers this is by recalling lessons learned through building a strong relationship with his father, Charles. “You just don’t give up on relationships, ever. That’s what grace is. Our Heavenly Father never gave up on us and so who are we to ever give up on anybody?” In addition to insightful sound bites and life lessons learned from his father Charles Stanley, this interview of Andy comes with highlighted areas of scripture to back up and explain the old covenant, the new covenant and-for those who need to know-why Andy preaches to the audience he has chosen to reach. The reason why is an unanswered question of concern that Andy Stanley seeks to understand-and to change. I myself am convinced that with each thought provoking book and each sermon series, Andy Stanley continues to prove himself an even deeper and stronger apologetic to the Christian faith. It is undeniable that in sharing the gospel with those who are most often “unchurched,” this skilled and masterful communicator is reaching his target audience.

The concept of shifting the attention away from the bible to the resurrection can be valid for the world who does not know God's word and can't understand it. However, man (christians) dont live by bread alone but by every word (that is scripture) that proceeds from the mouth of God. Scripture is how christians increase in faith and learn how to live. Rightly discern what Pastor Stanely is saying in this interview.

Let's tackle the true Hebrew names (YAHWEH, Elihim, Yahshua) next and why the churches aren't using them.

This is nothing new. People always say the old testament covenant is obsolete. It was God paving the way through history setting the stage for Christ's coming, and establishing a new covenant. As long as he is not saying nothing else matters, BUT loving each other. I mean rather than refer to say Paul's "commands" in his different epistles as commands, he refers to them as application.
