hi thank you for the nice words guys, I've been around casting for 3-4 years now and this was my first big tier 1 opportunity. I hope to keep improving and making that 16 year old young gun sound smarter by being dumber, as I usually do. Me and sully came from the Mountain Dew League scene in NA CS, it was tough to transition to VAL still. You guys were right about tourneys like 30 Bomb, although we didnt do *that* specific one, LOL. I won the Mountain Dew League Caster Challenge 2 seasons ago, the voting system is fucking BRUTAL. Its a glorified popularity contest at times, and you get slapped up Much love

Yoru is going to break the sage wall in tube defensive set up with his tele. Also for such a wide map, and one with so many angles, a character which can bait rotates with footsteps, use extremely effective pop flashes for entries and also have the ability to instantaneously rotate himself, he is surely bound to be meta

Your discussion on casting in Val is incredibly on point. Events continue to pull in big names like GB and Puckett but neither of them can to a good extent actually cast what they’re seeing. They don’t have enough time in game nor the skill to understand what’s happening. Some of the best casting has been done by players who’ve hit radiant themselves, or ex-csgo casters/analysts and in rare cases, people who’ve done actual research.

Pls explain to me like I'm 5 what the format is or point me in the right direction because I can't get a clear answer anywhere. I thought when Immortals beat envy they won the first challengers, there are so many qualifiers!!!

While I am generally against region locking the talent, as a counter point to sideshows concern that talent won't know anything about other regions at the international tournaments, this is in effect the exact same thing that Riot does for LOL and they have always been able to get away from it by just doing a tricast of 1 PBP, then 2 Colour casters, one from each region in the game being played.

My two cents on if valorant is easier than CS. CS feels like a more mechanically demanding game when compared to valorant because the mechanics in CS reward you if you are really good at them more than in Valorant. For example, great movement in CS is rewarded way more than great movement in Valorant. And in terms of gunplay, a large reason valorant seems easier is because the game is inherently more random than CS. Sprays in csgo can be mastered because it is a consistent pattern, whereas valorant has truly random spray. IMO, randomness, especially too much randomness, shouldn’t be in a tactical shooter. Gunplay in valorant is in a state right now where if neither you or the person you shoot at hit your first four shots, you just start spraying and praying you hit more shots. However, I will say that valorant’ s design philosophy towards utility is a great idea that does require more thinking than in CSGO (imo). You have to plan more and be more careful with utility usage in valorant just because you can’t have all the utility you need on one person. But I still feel, overall, that Valorant feels like an easier game because it is more random.

@DuckyVanya
@DuckyVanya 3 жыл бұрын
No one wants to play it because valve doesn't care about video games anymore. Hence the new player experience being so bad. However, competitive dota will always be better than competitive league. I watch both but league has absolutely nothing going on compared to dota. No surprise picks, no surprise strats, the champion pool is basically 30 because the rest of the champions are fucking dogshit compared to those 30. If riot could balance a game for competitive viability then it might actually be as good an esport to watch. If valve cared about their game and new players then it might actually grow in player count. For me competitive integrity will always come above player count as long as there's enough players to play, but maybe to you the number of players matters, to each their own. Hopefully someone else reads this because OC's comment is "dead game LUL" so I'm wasting my time treating them like an adult😭

Ngl I kinda dislike this whole making a team with women with the purpose to be one of the first with women. Personally I think mixed teams should've been norm by now but out of merit of the players not cuz of their gender
