This is the first of a two part video, taking a tour around the old airfield. Most of the pictures and video, date from around 1994. As a result, the pictures are mostly scanned prints, and the 4:3 format video, has been converted a couple of time, from the original VHS magnetic tape.
This part of the tour, takes us around the North and Eastern sides of the airfield, before moving into the technical site. Check out the on screen link at the end for a fly-over of the airfield, taken in 1997.
A second video will cover the accommodation sites, the main communal site, the bomb dump and West side of the airfield.

Excellent compound ( overlay) site plan. Object lesson for all who are explaining the layout of the operational base as completed.

Marvellous video Stephen, I’ve often wondered what’s left of the place other than the bits you can see from the roads. Would be nice to do an update to see what’s left in 2024.

😁 It's a text to voice app, reading from my script. I'm terrible at fluffing lines and it requires too many takes if I'm reading!

@@century_bombers ah I couldn’t tell! It’s great! The video and research is awesome too of course. I live 30 mins away from the airfield and hope to visit soon.
