Textbook stuff. Made it very easy for the ref.
@canadiancontent352
@canadiancontent352 2 жыл бұрын
@@vonteflon agreed but I think its on world rugby to settle this and provide instructions to the ref. IMO those instructions are simple. The jackals feet must be beneath him, vertically (not behind him toward his/ her own goal line; horizontally spread towards the side lines is ok, though this is dangerous). Any deviation should be a penalty. I could be wrong but I think its impossible to support your own weight otherwise. You can see Quinn can because he's able to bring his upper body up, ball in hand (so his coach knows :) without a hand on the ground to support him. A simple reference is a prop pre-scrum vs a prop in the scrum. I really think policing this will improve the game for everyone, especially those new to the game, right now its hard to understand whats a penalty and what not. It can also be very negative rugby as its too easy for the jackal to get in an illegal, but more importantly exceptionally strong position, to kill the ball

Boks were ahead and had to just keep the ball in hand and run out the dying seconds of the clock..still they fancied kicking. @@somelad5770 their backs (exc Kolbe) are not actually good enough to play free flowing rugby unfortunately. The two centres are more like support forwards rather than backs. It would take several months for this back line to unlearn the current way of playing, receive, kick and support forwards. If they try that now they might be more entertaining but at the expense of losing way more games. P.s. Leroux is not good enough really.

@@bbmcars True true it will take them a while to change this style of play..but I think overall it'll benefit them especially against teams like the ABs who are more often than not (yesterday being a sad exception) very dangerous with the ball in hand. If the ABs were on song like they have been, kicking the ball to them could have been disastrous. It'll be more entertaining for us fans too if they reduce the kicking. This is probably one of the few times where the comment section is worse than the media because of the audacity of backseating and criticism here. Suddenly nearly everyone here are world class coaches criticizing players here and there. This is why they are there playing some footy representating their home country and you are at home sucking your thumb watching the game. When going into a game, anything can happen, bad and good goes both ways and it expected. There is no team that is perfect and is able to play good and well every game. If you expect players to just do well and play some good footy, then you have to consider the factor of everything that happens with the players before the game and during the game. Anything happens. But what most important that you world class criticizer lack is experience. Yes, for those who play rugby, good for you but when it comes to playing rugby at a professional level, none of you come close. You have to considered the amount of pressure that these players feel both mentally and physically. The stadium The field The atmosphere The opposing team Yourself, you conditions and how your feeling. The crowd The weather At a professional level. Not much of you consider minor details like these but any of these (and some more which I didn't list) could be a game changer for any of these players that were playing. There are alot of players there with alot of experience, though that doesn't make them immune to not feeling pressure, it just make them more aware of themselves and those around them and so on (feel free to add on). Now onto those with game plans. Now SA kicking the ball away from possession. Honestly, I was late and didn't cue until the 54th minute. But I would say from that point on, their kicking game was really working. Yes they were giving the ball away but it was working. The All Blacks were having trouble trying to catch the ball and had some close air battles. And for the 76th minute when they kick it away, they obviously still had time, and it a pretty invalid argument to use that and complain why SA kick away at the 76th minute when they had the ball secured during the 79th mintue until they lost it. You can complain and backseat as much as you want but you will never be starting or coaching any of these two teams with an eyesore attitude like that. You also have to consider the physicality these two teams brought upon themselves A literal full 80 minute set. You's half ass won't be able to understand the fatigue these two players are feeling Specifically you cucks out there not even seeing these two teams literally barraging against each other, putting their bodies on the line and then acting like it not affecting them, because oh boy these players will be having sore bodies for the next couple days because of the physicality which most of you criticizer won't understand (at a professional level). Now moving on A valid point would be Le Roux kicking it out to touch and not gaining much meters instead of kicking towards the AB 22 and hoping the AB would kick away from their 22 or get ball through a successful ruck or hope the AB make a mistake and conceded a penalty within their own half. But then again, time was ticking and pressure was stacking on these players and you must understand, they could be kicking to preserve their team energy and try have the All Blacks tire themselves out or whatever their reason was. Thus, you won't understand what going through these teams head at a professional level. When these players go on to review this game, I assure you there will be literally no one who would feel worse than these players with their performance. That is why they train to improve and adapt to their mistakes to not make the same mistakes. It common sense in rugby. But here you criticizer are, acting like you are the best of the best coaches in the world. You literally get shown the best angles the camera people can give you at every live game so it obviously so easy to see what is happening when you are literally given the best angles. Get chuck in there between the two teams and good luck lasting 20 minutes in there, bud. Give these two teams and their players some time, they will adapt to their mistakes and work on it. That is why they train and play at a professional level and you don't. I rest my case.

Not there b/c the Boks are a different animals and challenge. We again kicked boxes when we shoulda kept it on hand. Losing games over missed conversions when the other teams kicker is 100%. Only trying to rub some reality into one too many one eyed AB supporters. The game goes beyond open field brilliance. Yes we’d all love to see it. Agreed. At the end of the day they are professional entertainers. That's (not) entertainment! It's not like you don't have the raw material to make a competitive free running team.

They can play running rugby especially when they get front foot ball they’re dangerous. With the forward pack they have they should be able to. They need a Kiwi coach in my opinion.

Lets hope next game they push Rieko back out to the wing and start Quinn, and also replace Bridge for Reece.

I'm with you with Rieko on the wing, I really don't like him in the midfield. What ever happened to Jack Goodhue?

Yes, NZ won but I'm so disappointed in their performance! For the sake of growing & advancing the game of rugby, I wanted them to beat this negative Boks in style & convincingly!
