101 Easter Eggs In The Minions & Despicable Me Universe

There are few animated franchises that are as beloved as the Despicable Me franchise. From Despicable Me 1, 2, and 3 to Minions and the newest addition, Minions: Rise of Gru, there are more than enough diabolical plots, hilarious Gru moments, and minion madness to go around. The Despicable Me franchise is made by Universal Studios. And, like their famous competition, Disney, Universal Studios just loves peppering little inside jokes and hidden references all over its movies. It’s just up to us viewers to find them all. If you’re thinking that finding all the Easter eggs in all five Despicable Me movies is a daunting task, you’re right. But, luckily, we’ve compiled them all in one handy little video. We found 101 Easter eggs that range from the most obvious ones to the “blink and you’ll miss ‘em” variety, and we even spotted all the references in the newest sequel, Minions: Rise of Gru. The list has plenty of nods to other Universal Studios classics and loads of little laughs about other animated favorites. There are even references to real-life figures and other forms of media. From kids’ movie allusions that young viewers love to moments that pay homage to things that only a grown-up could remember, the Despicable Me Easter eggs are all over the map. In Despicable Me 2 you missed a few. The scientist who gave the rabbit the shot has his name on his suit...Coffin. Next Eduardo has a medallion around his neck with an "E" but when he becomes El Macho it's turned to look like an "M", possibly a reference to El Macho. Lastly the bartender in the beach scene is Issac from The Love Boat!

Also when Gru says "Minions Assemble" Thats also a refrence to the first Despicable Me because when he enters his lair for the first time he also Says "Minions Assemble."

Ahhh The pink toilet paper only found in France, hmmm isn't the artist and the voice actor from France? I as an adult will always love these awesome, little, yellow marshmallows and my Roomie introduced me, and taught his niece to go around calling her dad (My roomies brother) 'Gru' I can never feel down or sick when there's The Minions and Gru :D

And bratts disguise as a fat guy it reminded me of the mayor from Cloudy with a chance of meatballs when he over ate and got fat he also had the same hairstyle and he also wore a similar suite

If the grinch and the lorax made an appearance this a nod to what will be released in the near future despicable me 3 came out before 2018 and thats when the grinch was released and the lorax came out in 2012 two years after despicable me 1
